Excellent car
Very nice car. Very attractive, great color, excellent handling.
Love! But needs more power
I love everything about this car minus the lag in the gas pedal. It’s so frustrating when you’re expecting to go after pressing the gas only to experience a lag. Once it finally catches on it’ll definitely move though.

Disappointed
The heating steering is a total disappointment. How can it only warm where we can fully hold the steering wheel It should warm the steering wheel completely not just at the 10 & 2 position

10k Review - Trading for a truck…
I originally decided to treat myself and leased an IS350 F-Sport. A year into that lease, it became a regret due to the small size. It was a pretty cramped car and I’m not even a big guy(6’1 170). When I took it in for its 10k service, I was given a RX350 loaner with 16k miles and I have to say I was impressed. It was a base RX350. It drove surprisingly similar to the IS but had the size of a SUV. When I got the IS back, I immediately missed the SUV size… so I decided to trade in the IS and leased a base RX… Well, coming up on a year of having the RX and close to 10k miles, I have to say… I DO like the RX, HOWEVER… My issues with the RX are… the seats: they’re just NOT that comfortable for a luxury SUV, which is surprising. I’ve taken a few 2+ hour trips in the RX and had to adjust myself several times during those trips. The back of the seat isn’t bad, but the seat itself is oddly firm. I really don’t understand the decision for the seats by Lexus. The IS I leased prior had the F-Sport seats and those were very comfy. My second issue is the MPGs. The MPG that I get is very hit or miss. When I first got the RX, I was averaging roughly 18-20 combined with mostly hwy driving and that hasn’t really changed. I HAVE gotten 24-25 mpg but I have to drive over an hour to typically get that AND it’s mostly at 65 mph. When I bump it to 75-80 mph, it falls to 22-23 mpg quite quickly. Most of the time, I’m getting 20 mpg and that’s on my short drive to work which is 10-15 minutes and 95% highway. I’ve NEVER gotten the quoted 26 mpg EVER. My third issue is one that’s developed in the time that I’ve had the SUV, and that’s the steering wheel. I’m just not a fan of the mostly wood steering wheel. It just doesn’t FEEL right. I’m usually holding the wheel with one hand at the 10 position. But sometimes it’s more comfortable at the 12 position for driving and I’m just not a fan of the wood feel. Also, being that it’s wood, the heat feature is kind of pointless because you HAVE to hold the leather sides to get the benefit 🤦🏻♂️ Other than those things, it’s been a great vehicle and I do appreciate the space. It’s absolutely one of the finest driving experiences I’ve ever had in ANY vehicle. The engine/transmission combo are absolutely BUTTER smooth. You basically do not ever feel shifts while driving and for an 8 speed transmission 👏🏻 kudos to Lexus engineers on that! Also, I have to say, I’ve been absolutely spoiled by the “auto” everything in the vehicle. You name it, it’s got an auto setting. High/low beams, windows, heat/ac, wipers, heated/cooled SEATS! Auto everything! You get in and drive and don’t have to think about anything! It’s damn nice! So, why am I looking at a truck?? Well, because I’ve wanted one for a while now. I actually wanted one when I got the RX but Lexus doesn’t make trucks. So I got the RX which did remedy the space issue of the IS. But, for the reasons I gave above, mostly the lack of seat comfort, I’m looking into a truck. And mpg figures these days for V8s are very similar to the 3.5L in the RX with real world use. Which is kind of sad for Lexus… I’ve actually got my eye on a Nissan Titan and thanks to a test drive yesterday, I REALLY want one! So I’ll probably be saying bye to this RX if Nissan will fully buy it out, which they seem to be willing to do! ✌🏻
