Great SUV for a small family

We bought the NX 350 Luxury gas version and we are very happy. We are a family of 3, my daughter is 11 so we found this vehicle good for our needs. I was initially looking at a RAV4 Limited, but could not find it so we went to Lexus dealer and when I saw the NX in person my family was happy with the space. Originally when I used to see it in video it looked way smaller then in person. So it's always good to see it in person and as well test drive. When we test drove this NX nothing else compare to it, the feel the drive, the technology and reliability (As there are other luxury brand that are nice but not as reliable as Toyota/Lexus). We want to keep our vehicle for a while and Toyota/Lexus reliability is important for us. The NX is similar to the RAV 4...a bit smaller in cargo space and in rear set, but not by much. So if you want a RAV 4 reliability with luxury then the NX is for you. Now it is important we understand that despite the reliability we also need to take care of our vehicles, especially with all these turbo engines. The manufactured recommends 10k per oil change, but that is insane. It is better to do it at 5k. Some people do it every 3 to 4k but for right now I will keep it at 5k mile per oil change. Now why gas and not hybrid? First it's very hard to get a hybrid right now, limited supply. Second I prefer the feel of driving this Turbo engine then the Hybrid as I did a test drive in a NX hybrid...and I prefer the feel of the Turbo. Now the one I might consider in the future is the plug in hybrid because that is the future of Toyota/Lexus and it's the bridge between ICE and full EV. But at this time we are staying with the Turbo since we will not benefit from a home plug for a plug in. Once we have that resolved I will upgrade this Turbo for the Plug in version which has better horsepower. But other then that can't go wrong with any option you choose, if you want something fun and agile get the turbo. If you care more for gas saving get the hybrid and if you want the best of both world and future proof get the plug in (if you got a place to plug in). And if you are more concern with cost then I recommend RAV 4 limited if you can find one. It is much cheaper, gas will cost you less since it does not take premium and insurance will be less. But if you can afford it Lexus product are nice to own, even if it's a "glorify Toyota".

I had many Lexus and it is a great car but it has to problem The seat stitches are closer to the middle but if it can be moved to the border line feels better The other problem is with the front viper is not going all the way to the end from driver side and that is a big issue for visibility Another issue is with the front seat belts that are loose and making noise by the plastic cover it would be better to use softer plastic Also the arm rest and dashboard are making noise on the bumpy roads I had to use stool leg floor protectors to fill the gaps and prevent the noise

Any reservations about this car were eliminated as soon as I stared driving it. Seats are not only comfortable, but adjust high enough for a petite person to see well. Drove home on a windy day and the car really held the road well. Rain sensitive wipers came in handy when it started to rain on that first drive. Will just take time to get used to all the technology, too much to retain in initial orientation to the car. Passengers in the back say there’s enough legroom. Would recommend this car!

So Far So Great!

In shopping for a new vehicle I was looking to keep the price under $45K. After shopping around I wound up paying $55K and as of now I'm glag I did. The comfort and refinement of the ride is beyond anything I've ever experienced before. The technology is amazing and not all that difficult to use and makes car care a breeze. I've ony rated the vehicle a 4 but if this car is able to stay out of the shop for the first few years of ownership I will rate it 6 stars! I justified the price of this car by telling myself that this could be the last car I may ever have to buy. It's way too early too early to judge that. But what I've experienced with this vehicle so far it makes me hopeful!
