Used 2012 Lexus ES 350 Consumer Reviews
Don't Buy the Nav System - ES350 (2012-16)
This is our fourth Lexus. We bought the last three new. Until this model, we liked the car, the value, and the features, even though the latter are pricey. We bought our 2012 ES-350 brand new. The navigation system in it is not up to snuff. Moreover, there have been no major improvements in that system in the ensuing ten (including the 2022 model). In all honesty, a $270 voice-activated off-the-shelf Garmin 2797LMT runs circles around the system for which Lexus has the gall to charge $2,600. I believe that the senior manufacturing executives at Lexus are too pig-headed and/or arrogant to embrace the idea that they might not be able to make every feature as good as it should be and, therefore, it makes sense to rely on outsourcing, no matter how hard that might be on their inflated egos. The fact that the navigation system has not been either improved or junked completely since December 2011 affirms the arrogance of Lexus USA executives. Another tell-tale sign: If one calls the 800 Lexus number, one learns that Lexus management refuses to give the phone reps the tools to do their jobs: they can't see my instrument panel on their monitors. Therefore, they can't see what I'm talking about, so they cannot help. First, Lexus management shafts its customers. Then it kneecaps its own employees. Are these executives raging incompetences or what??!

Lexus interior is very quiet
It seems other cars are compared to Lexus for quiet. I love quiet cars.

bad leather seats
before you purchase a lexus their interior leather is the worst I have ever seen in a so called luxury car. have a 2012 and have already had to replace the seat covers the perforated inserts just plain ripp. Had to pay $1700.00 per seat to replace just the cushions. expected much better and they say normal wear and tear! 4 YEARS AND RIPPS. KIA has a better interior than this at 10th of the price. beware!

Inferior seating material
On a 500 mile road trip you will notice how Lexus cut corners. The pleather armrest irritated my elbow so bad that on the way back from Miami I had to buy a hand towel to cover armrest to keep elbow from hurting. Never had this issue on road trips in my Mercedes or Jaguar!

Great Used Car
I bought this car used with 141K miles for a teen driver. We had to replace some steering parts and get new tires. Just ordered a backup camera. It's a very roomy and comfortable car. Classic look. We're very happy with it.
