Used 2017 Kia Sorento Consumer Reviews
Love my car
A KIA had not been on my radar screen, but I was very impressed with the Sorento's look, feel, and handling. Additionally, I liked the 10 year warranty. I only have 650 miles on the car, but I have enjoyed the ride and enjoy the added features this car comes with.

Engine issues
The 2.4 L engine specifically for this year has multiple recalls. Our original motor died in traffic. Was under warranty, and we recieved a new factory motor from the dealer, and that burned out after 2 years with regular oil changes. don't buy this year if possible. Edmonds should downgrade the reliability number on this year/model...

Driving in the dark - not on purpose
I have owned and leased many cars without problems but, fair warning - I leased a 2017 Sorento to accommodate my family size and it turned out to be a nightmare. I ended up paying for brakes, tires and turned in the car with 12,000 plus miles less than my 15k per year contract. During the 3.5 years that I had the car serviced, I reported on a number of occasions that the steering column would vibrate and felt loose which made me feel unsafe to drive the car during my last year. The car was checked on at least two occasions and I was told nothing could be found. On an even more frightening note, I told the dealer at least three to four times that my lights would randomly turn off. I explained that it happened while driving with my children, a few times as we were tuning off the highway at night and even when we would turn into our driveway and could clearly see the lights turn off and I would have to manually turn them back on while driving. I took the car in for service and asked that the lights be checked and was told “they could not find anything.” I eventually avoided driving on the highway with my children at night after one night when a truck started flashing its lights at us while we were on the highway at night and the Sorrento’s lights had randomly shut off – a VERY dangerous situation. I again took the car for service to the dealer and explained what was happening. The serviced the car and said they tested the vehicle and ran a computer check and said they “could not find anything.” That model is now known online for it's headlights shutting off randomly. I would NOT recommend a Sorento
Reliable and a good family car
Besiding the regular maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotation, and airfilters), I was never experienced any issue with the car. Only complaining is that the break rotors are getting rust easily (rust will show up if I'm not touching the car for a week or so)

2017 KIA sorento
Finally have found out that the Sorento does not have daytime running lights. Very disappointed about that! The mirror on the driver's side of the car can be poorly positioned for a driver 5 ft. 1 inch. It is in the way of the view when making a left hand turn. Otherwise, it is ok, but wouldn't have bought it if we had known it had no running lights. It seems it is such a little thing to add with all the other great features on the car.
