2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Consumer Reviews

This is one heck of a vehicle! An incredible first
Having driven multiple EVs and owned multiple EVs My decision to purchase the Wagoneer S with solely based on value. I was able to do a no money down lease of the vehicle for 24 months 10,000 mi and I figured what's the risk? The car has a sticker price of around 72k keeping with the less than 1% rule on leasing was quite easy with all of the available rebates and incentives. Performance is outstanding not only from the perspective of acceleration but ride quality is much better than I would have expected for an SUV that weighs close to 6,000 lb. The vehicle rides on relatively skinny tires obviously to improve EeV efficiency, and still rides and drives in a competent and sporty manner. My only issue has to do with The regenerative braking it's either too much or too little there's no middle ground. As far as efficiency goes I'm averaging 3.8 miles per kilowatt which in the EV world is considered outstanding. While the indication of miles remaining has never gone over 300 total, there has been days in which I have driven a hundred plus miles and the vehicle does such a good job with efficiency that I pull back in my driveway with over 220 mi left to go. My estimate for real world is closer to 330 to 350 mi of range in city type traffic. Obviously range will vary on the highway versus City especially at highway speeds. Lots of the reviews you read about this vehicle are done by folks that have been in nothing but Tesla's for a number of years. This does not have the sophistication or the software that a Tesla has and feels more like a traditional vehicle that happens to be an EV versus an EV that is a very much non-traditional vehicle like the Tesla. I also currently own a Model y which I'm very happy with as well and the software on the Tesla product by far is more sophisticated, intelligent, and robust then that on the Jeep. That being said I'm a little bit forgiving of the fact that the Jeep family is brand new to the EV world and I'm hoping that in short time software improvements happen as well as availability to the Tesla supercharging network. If you can land a good deal on this vehicle it's the perfect size for empty nesters like my wife and I who do need the ability to have two people ride in the back comfortably every now and then and the ability to haul mulch from the local Lowe's a couple times a year. You won't be disappointed especially when you're right foot hits the floor and in 3.4 seconds you're going 60 miles an hour but the enjoyment of this vehicle is more about driving around town with your temperature controlled seats at a desirable level and one of five massage options selected with one of three levels of massage. It's a great vehicle to drive and enjoy. I hope the next 18,000 mi have been as enjoyable as the first 2000 mi!

Sleek, solid, smooth, sexy, safe, sophisticated!
LAUNCH EDITION WAGONEER S Sleek, solid, smooth, sexy, safe, sophisticated OK, I purchased this as the first kid on the block right out of the box and admit I did so with a fair measure of anxiety. Dad often said, “Never buy the first model of any vehicle.” But I’d waited over six months. I had to have it, so I leaped! Six weeks and 1401 miles into it, I could not be more impressed – nearly flawless and too much fun to drive. It’s not your dad’s Wrangler. Jeep didn’t intend it to be. Sleek – inside and out Inside: dash and instrument cluster: fully integrated, not like an afterthought laptop slapped on the dash; 45” of screen including a passenger only screen HDMI connectable device for audio and video streaming. You’ll want a microfiber cloth in the gloves compartment to easily wipe away the fingerprints on the piano black dash. Outside: style forward curb appeal without the gingerbread; Jeep iconic lighted seven slot grill across the bow; panoramic sunroof; unique winged air foiling spoiler over the rear window reducing drag, improving mileage and eliminating the need for a wiper; a LED taillight encircles and lights up the stern. Solid – simply the security you experience as its driven; steering is responsive and feels the road. Smooth – amazing torque; with 600HP this beast flies; seats – soft, comfortable, supportive; cabin oh-so quiet. Sexy – McIntosh speakers, 19 of them create a concert hall environment; front driver and passenger seats heated and ventilated with massage; rear seat heated and vented; squircle steering wheel; ambient interior lighting; electric door openers; did I mention 45” of fully integrated screen over the dash? Safe – safety features too numerous to count, but include headlights that light up the night for inclusive view of the road; panoramic digital rearview camera; audio AND video blind spot warning; Active Driver assist; heads-up windshield display; automated side view mirrors; reassuring brakes; voice activated navigation. Sophisticated – fit and finish luxury throughout; over the air (OTA) software updates with home Wi-Fi connect; intuitive U-connect system software with Apple Car Play or Android Auto. To truly benefit from the extraordinary array of features, spend time siting in the cabin with Uconnect to explore and customize the Wagoneer S to your liking. Range? Better than advertised kilowatt/mile. EPA predicts 303 range, but my jury is still out and will be until driven through the seasons. Know that driving either an EV or ICE vehicle the weather and driving conditions significantly impact mileage. I have a home charger and strongly recommend included in purchase Jeep’s Level 2 offer for overnight charging if you don’t have one. Value: comparably equipped, appointed luxury: Wagoneer S $71,000, Lyriq $74,500+, Rivian R1S $76,700+, Tesla Y (NA, not luxuriously appointed), Kia EV9 $73,900, Genesis GV 70E $73,750. Meets Federal EV incentive of $7500 granted at point of purchase. PS: I’ll leave rock climbing and off roading up to the Wranglers!

Wow, Just Wow

Do Not Throw Away Your Money On This Car
BEFORE YOU THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY BUYING THE WAGONEER “S” READ THIS. Let my story be a cautionary tale for you folks. I recently bought a Wagoneer “S” Launch Edition, I have to honestly admit, I didn’t read the reviews the way I should have had. I should have researched more. Like an idiot, I was hung up on the design, the advertised mileage and the 600 horsepower and 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. The 0 percent financing and the $7500 “potential” tax credit were also motivators. I brought mine from Joe Marino in Chicago. The dealership has no experience selling or repairing EVs. During the sale, I had to pull up Jeep posts and they had to talk to corporate to even be able to sell the car. That in itself should have been a warning sign. I guess I am not that bright after all, so I do take blame for my own mistakes, but I hope I can help you not to make the same mistake. Let’s talk about the milage, it is a lie, the brand-new car never charged up more than 257 miles and never even near the 300+ mile they advertise. When I asked my service manager, he laughed and said, “Yeah, that’s if you don’t turn on the radio, air conditioning or the lights!” WTF?! The brand new car should at least on its first charge show the capability and the capacity. He also said, since we live in Chicago, that the car will probably not even break 200 miles during the winter months! So don’t be fooled by the advertised “300+” milage range Once I drove the car off the lot, I had immediate issues with the car, it would not move forward or back when in D or R. While parked, it displayed “Stop Safely, vehicle will shut off soon,” and the app would show my car as being on a charger, when it wasn’t. Air conditioning was not working; the absolute constant Bluetooth kicking the phone off and glitching was unbearable to even listen to a single song from beginning to the end; the grill lights and the fog lights still don’t work. To top it off, this $70K “luxury” car has the most basic door hinges where you must slam the door as if it is a Wrangler. The brakes were not working properly either and the car would roll forward especially at higher speeds on the highway. The dealership made an excuse that literally the day after I bought my car, there was a “new update” that would fix everything. This “rrt” magically happened the day after I bought the car. Even after downloading that, the glitches are still there, the lights still don’t work, the air conditioning still comes and goes, the Bluetooth still glitches, etc. My favorite of all the issues with this car is that this $70K “luxury” car does not come with a front license plate holder, which is unlawful in Chicago, and you have to pay for it out of pocket. OK, I said how much? They told me that it doesn’t matter because it is on back-order with no ETA! It also doesn’t come with a spare tire. To top it all off, when I went to register the car at the DMV, they had no record of a Wagoneer “S”, so I had to pay extra for a full-sized Wagoneer because this car has not been registered with the state! I mean this is the amateur hour! But if none of these have convinced you so far to avoid this car like a plague, this should stop you from investing your money like I did, because this car is not selling. The combination of the high price and bad reviews have stunted its sales. There are dealerships that have been forced to sell the car at a much lower prices, some as low as $58K. That means I am upside down on my investment. Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, will be forced to lower the price just to clear the inventory. This car will have zero resale value. Don’t throw away your money like me. I’m speaking to my attorneys and see what options I have now but this is what I get for trying to buy American. German and Asian cars, hell even Cadillac, is a better investment than the Wagoneer S. There is a reason you are not seeing these cars on the road.

Not ready
Purchased in January and has been in and out of the garage since. Technology is simply not ready. Refuse to charge, has not been able to give us the mileage that is advertised (we have not been able to get more than 300km out). Very fast, incredibly interior and head turning jeep. But only when it works…it is not ready and clearly jeep Canada is not either. Local dealer has been great. Car still in garage today. You should wait.
