Acceleration commentsIncredible cannon-shot-style launch. Oh, and it's as loud as a NASCAR stocker at wide-open throttle. Only slight brake torque with traction control shut off chirped the tires from a standstill and worked best. Upshifts border on brutal but make the best of this motor. Still, as loud as it is, it's not THAT much faster than a stock SRT8.

Handling commentsNot a well-balanced vehicle on the skid pad. All the weight goes directly to the outside front wheel the moment you turn the wheel. It's possible (but very short-lived) to coax a little off-throttle rotation, but understeer becomes the limiting factor. Also, why is there an "ESP Off" button if it doesn't turn it off? Like the stock SRT8, the long-travel suspension winds up and releases at a rate half as quick as would be useful for a quick slalom run. Stability control is the limiting factor here. Only the added burst of power on the exit makes it quicker than stock.
