Used 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic Consumer Reviews
Good Truck that serves my needs
My truck is an SLT with a 6.0 V8 that feels like it could move a mountain. I pull a 20 ft enclosed trailer with it and you would not know it was behind you. The only real issue I have had was with rear tail light assemblies and both were replaced twice under warranty and the last time they had a design change that has held up another 6 years. Fuel mileage leaves a bit to be desired but it averages about 14 when not pulling the trailer, in stop and go traffic. My truck is 16 years old and I still enjoy driving it. I did upgrade the electronics, added a backup camera and covered the bed with a camper shell. It is garage kept and when clean, still looks like new. It now has around 85000 miles on it and I see no reason not to keep driving it. About the only negative thing I can say about it is that at highway speeds, the wind noise leaves a lot to be desired but that has been true with every other GM product I have owned. The engine is not the 5.3 but the 6.0 max.

A luxury off-road truck?
I bought the 2007 GMC in 2012 with about 18000 miles on it. I paid a bit over $20,000. ( it was an estate sale..). The truck is a dream to drive on highways. I don't drive off road. I have gotten 21 mpg with the 5.3 L V8 on long drives. What I do not like is the electronic junk that comes with a Sierra! When one thing goes bad, it can run down the battery over night.. (done that twice). It takes a person who has good code reader to un-lock the problem. I'm getting Chevy Express!
