This started out as a great van but after a couple a months the van would hesitate going in reverse. Than during a scheduled oil change they found a leaking transmission seal. had dealer replace it now the van has stop working altogether so dealer is replacing the transmission. Its just a year old and has spent almost 7 weeks in shop for transmission issues

I have owned this van LWB XLCargo for 15 months and 26k. Overall I like this van. I use it as a delivery vehicle to deliver oil and make sales call to my customers. Not that I'm not happy with this van but I wish I would have purchased an XLT model. I've added a backup camera. Tinted the windows. Love the tinted glass. I'll list the things that Ford SHOULD have improved upon first. LOW POINTS 1. Fuel tank is too small. 15.8 gallons 2. Stock tires in the upper midwest suck in the winter. 3. Road noise is greater than I'd like. Maybe Ford should have add extra insulation under the Vinyl flooring. 4. The ride is a little firm on rough roads especially when empty but smooths out considerably when loaded. 5. Engine power is adequate in most driving situtaions but could use a boost for freeway on ramps. That being said I can cruise at 75 mph or higher without issue. HIGH POINTS 1. Excellent fuel economy 25-27 in mixed driving, Over 30 mpg on the interstate trips. 2. Excellent handling 3. Great visibility 4. Comfortable seats even for long trips 5. Select Shift transmission UPDATE 34 months and 50k miles. I've had Zero issues with this van. It's been great in the snow with Michelin Defenders. If I could change 1 thing I'd give it more power. Although I've had no issues driving in nasty Wisconsin winters it would be great if there was an AWD option. Update September 2021 My opinion haven't changed. Great van for my needs. 63k Van still performs as expected. Maintenance, Rear brakes and replaced a weak battery and scheduled oil changes.

Cabin is comfortable, fairly roomy for a smaller vehicle, but not much in the way of storage compartments. Handling is nimble, very compliant. This vehicle is "peppy" enough around town and actually fun to drive - but not a lot of "giddy up" when merging onto the highway. Ford annoyingly chose to leave out a way to switch off interior cargo LED's.

Our family of 4 had a big Super Duty Diesel truck (to pull a 5th wheel) and a little Toyota Corolla. With a 15 year old in the house, we were going to need a third vehicle and we had decided on a mini van. We were constantly borrowing our parents vans. Everyone we know were buying Toyota Highlanders as they did not want to go the mini van route, but a van is so much more practical and comfortable especially when using the third row. Most SUV's third rows are not really usable except for little kids. Anyway, I looked at every van out there, both new and used, but one day when getting my big truck serviced, I rode in a Transit Connect which the dealership was using as their shuttle vehicle. I was very impressed! Long story...short, after considering buying a used van (probably a former rental), I started looking at used Transit Connects, but I fell in love with the 2019 models with the center screen that looks like a little iPad! I ended up working out a deal with the dealer where I traded in my Super Duty for a Transit Connect and a half ton truck (a 2 for 1 trade since I still need a truck)! Anyway, we LOVE this little vehicle! We opted for the 6 seat version since that is mostly what we need it for and it is so much more convenient to getting into the rear seats. As for the seats, there is a ton of room in this thing. The third row is very comfortable for adults...the only complaint would be that your knees sit a little bit high in the third row which could get uncomfortable on a long trip. However, you can straiten out you legs if needed due to the open middle. Some random thoughts on this purchase: Love driving this as a daily driver, almost like a little sports car! Plenty of power in the little 4 banger for daily use, but you do realize it is a 4 cylinder when you have 6 or 7 in the thing, but most of the time, I do not carry that many passengers, so I can live with it. I would not buy this for fuel economy reasons...it is not that much better than a 6 cylinder full size mini van. This vehicle is fun, zippy, easy to park, but very spacious inside when we need it. I am installing a hitch receiver on the back to be able to attach a bike rack. Thinking about getting a roof rack, as ours did not come with the factory rack or the side rails. Love the color (Magnetic Gray) and have receive lots of comments and complements on it, but I may order black wheels to replace the silver factory ones. Surprises I did not realize the XLT model came with: rain sensing wipers...pretty cool. Also, remote start through Ford Connect. I install remote starts in all of the vehicles we buy unless they come from the factory and I was having trouble finding an after market one for the 2019, then the dealer showed that you just use your phone and can start it from anywhere! Final comment is Apple Car play is awesome...had it in my Super Duty and love it, just plug your iPhone in to the USB port and you have all sorts of apps available through the vehicle! I will update if I have any reliability or quality issues, but first impression is GREAT! Ford should really market these more, but I was happy to get a great deal as they really discounted it since they do not sell a lot of them and do not plan to trade or sell it any time soon.

I have the Titanium Long Wagon. I really have enjoyed this vehicle. It drives like a small car and is very nimble. The 2.5 engine is okay, it isn't fast but is plenty capable for the vehicle. I have averaged 22mpg with 2 adults and 3 kids riding in it. The seats are pretty comfortable for around town. The passenger area is good for a small family. The cargo area behind the third row is small without having the seats slid all the way up. With the seats folded down there is a great amount of cargo space. My only complaint of the cargo room is the back is only 46" wide. I wish it was 48" wide for carrying a sheet of plywood. I traded my truck for a family vehicle and that is the main thing I miss. I like my little wagon but then again I like odd vehicles.

Great size, packaging and handling. 1970s build quality, over 30 days at the lying incompetent dealer in the first 14 months. Dealer can't fix it. Ford can't fix it. Using the states lemon law.
Sidestep a minivan with this Euro-inspired Van!

An amazing family hauler without the sticker shock of the Honda Odyssey. And while this lacks the souped up amenities of other traditional minis like backrow screens, it’s a highly versitle car with dual sliding doors and rear bucket seats that get the job done. Titanium line comes with some impressive safety features like lane assist, blind spot monitors, and frontal crash assist/auto braking. Technology is superior with wireless phone charger, SYNC tech and plent of USB ports. Have gotten tons of compliments on Euro style and my kids love it. And for a van, handling around turns and corners is beyond impressive. It can be a tad noisy with radio off and the high ceilings means that conversations don’t always travel well, but those are my only noticeable drawbacks. Love this Euro machine! 2021 update: Rear brakes squealed for months when backing up. Eventually had to replace under warranty. Also replaced an air intake valve that was causing engine overheat sensor to trigger. Ford had to practically remove the engine block to replace part. Thankfully covered under warranty.

This vehicle is a best kept secret! Ford has not marketed this vehicle very well, and that is a shame, because it provides a great deal of space and flexibility. Extremely versatile with comfortable seating for 6 (with second row buckets) or 7 passengers (with second row bench seat) OR the 2nd and 3rd row seats either fold flat or are removable for lots of cargo. The Titanium version of the long wheelbase wagon is pretty plush and well equipped for the price. Mine has 2 leather bucket seats in each seating row which gives you a center aisle to access the 3rd row seats without having to fold down a 2nd row seat, Many of the modern tech conveniences are there -- rear camera with cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor, proximity alert, Synch system which integrates with your mobile phone via Bluetooth and has a great navigation system that accepts voice commands. Good audio system which includes Sirius XM capability. Handles securely with a smooth ride and a small turning radius given the size of the vehicle. Minor inconvenience compared to other minivans is no powered sliding side doors or tailgate. Unusually, the windows in the sliding side doors open like in conventional rear doors and are power-operated. Considering the price point, it is lots cheaper than equivalently equipped minivans such as Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, Dodge Caravan, or Chrysler Pacifica and less cost than many large 3-row SUVs. Exterior styling is a bit quirky compared to a minivan or SUV, but that tall stance offers great interior room. You sit up high and have an excellent view out, and you can carry bulky, tall objects with ease that would never fit in most minivans or SUVs. This is one European import (made in Spain and derived from the Ford Focus) that is eminently worthy of consideration.

Have owned four years in February 2021 currently, still working well for our needs easy to handle, get the windows tinted to help the A/C. Takes up little space in the garage. Great head room. Update 3/5/19 Installed aftermarket roof rhino-racks and aero-bars, this was for a Thule pod, it helps when the in-laws visit, and we go camping, we are going to install a receiver hitch for bicycles this summer. Update 3/6/20 Receiver and rack and POD, really worked out for longer trip, We drove 4 adults and two kids to Moab, avg 26 MPG though varied elevation on a 2500 mile trip. The aftermarket racks can hold more than the stock ford rack, it was a pain to install the rails, pay a professional, if you do it yourself get cold quenched drill-bits the steel will dull anything else. We just returned from using the van to camp below MT Adams. It handled the unpaved roads well the washboard was a little hard but not bad the kid laughed at the water in the bottles bouncing around. Ford should offer camping improvement a 1"more clearance would be nice that being said we never bottomed out, and a bash plate still did not need but would be nice.

Plenty of room for cargo and overall runs smooth. However, the vehicle sometimes hesitates before taking off from a complete stop. Also, the review camera often has an unclear picture. The dealer tells us this is normal because it does eventually clear up. What, what??

I have the 2018 transit connect long wheel base cargo van . I am a courier so I need room, fuel efficiency, confort, and power. This van has it all. I have put 230,000 miles on it in less than 3 years. I have not had one single problem out of it. I do keep on top of scheduled maintenance. I use only full synthetic oil. I regularly load it to the 1600 lb capacity. Even fully loaded it pulls mountains at 65 mph and would go faster if I pushed it. Gas mileage is usually anywhere from 27.5 to 31 mpg. Obviously higher on long freeway trips. I do notice a small drop off in perfomance now that it has so many miles but still a great van. If all goes well it will have over 300,000 on it at the end of this year.

I’ve now owned this guy 5 years. It was in a dealership 3 months ago for the FIRST time, due to a ‘shift cable bushing’ recall replacement. Took them 30 minutes.in and out. I am just over 50k miles now. I have 3 vehicles. Toyota truck, Lexus GS350 and this one. I drive the van the most. It just FUN to drive. Very nimble. Quick steering. One must keep their foot in it of course…being a 4 banger. But it boogies. I consistently drive it 80-85 on freeways here in nor cal. No issues keeping up. It IS noisy. Mine LWB cargo van, empty. Purchased originally to haul music gear to gigs. When I tell people it’s noisy, they laugh….being that I’m about 1/2 deaf playing in rock bands most of my life. I’m 68 now and STILL play in rock bands. The van has been stellar for me. No real complaints. The Nissan and Ram equivalents did not compare even close to me. I would pay big money for a turbo or supercharger if someone made one. That would be one insane ride!

Backup camera doesn't give clear picture or won't come on.... Today my van got over heater...today the temperature was 56.... Sometimes the reverse won't engage... I boughted couple months ago..with zero mile its 2019... Like the van..but I'm planning to trade in asap...I dont wants problems later

Gets great gas mileage, 20 around town, 28 on highway. Lots of sitting & cargo space. Lots of headroom. Peppy, even though a 4-cylinder.

My wife has Parkinson’s. We have a custom manual wheel chair for her. The low deck and roomy back (I removed the rear seats) are perfect for the chair, and for getting her in and out. The 4ft ceiling height is perfect for her chair with its head gear. The liftgate works like an awning to keep the rain off when loading and unloading. We live in the mountains of NC and it easily handles the hills and curves. It’s like a little sports car in a big box.

i bought it new in 2019 rear camara went out in two weeks raido would loose all pre sets once a month after two mouths no down shifting going up a hill dad to manuly shift down then engine light would come on and say exsast gas not right tock it to ford and charged $180.00 dollors and told nothing was wrong with it and told to gust drive it so i drove it for two years like that every time i tock it in for severce i complened and told if i wanted them to look at it again i would have to leave it with them for 2- 3 mounths before thay could look at it then the trans would not go in revirce and started shifting up and down like a nut at will took it back thay took 2 mounths and told me the trans needed rebuilt that wes 9 months ago thay rebuilt it 5 times then put a new trans in it gave it back to me with in a week the insterment cluster started flassing on and off with beeping noise every 30 sec. engien light still comes on raido looses pre sets every 1/2 hour noise for under hood making clunking noise key fab dont work back up camra still not working thay denied the lemon law and finly after 9 months gave me a rent truck for 10 days some thing is wrong with the here i thing i need to get a lawwer after them

I have had this vehicle forced upon me by my company. DO NOT get the vinyl seats!!! If you're 5'11" or taller you will be uncomfortable regardless of which seats you choose. My company ordered the XL model, which is a step above the Flintstone's car. It has absolutely nothing up front. If you're planning on getting shelving installed, choose very carefully and keep in mind that your workers cannot be kept to cookie cutter rules. Storage space is definitely not one size fits all. My work is not the same as Joe's work so why do we have identical vehicles? I can't fit my tools in this thing because they put so many shelves in it. My tools are too big for the shelves. If you like to drive with your arm on the door you could forget it. They put this weird trim on it to give it a curved look that forces your arm forward and punishes you for trying by digging into your elbow. The armrest is too low on the door and the armrest on the seat has a mind of its own, comes out of adjustment constantly and the only way to correct it is to turn it straight up and hope you get it right on the way back down. I've had many work vans over the last 25 years. Full size Dodge, Ford, Chevy, Mercedes, minivans and pickups, this thing is by far the least usable and most uncomfortable piece of crap I've ever had the displeasure of sitting in.

Very low power ratio if fully loaded don’t expect more than 55mph on any up hill grade. Feels very bare bones, even with seats feels like the handyman’s van. Suspension not great- don’t even think about pushing around any curves as won’t hold a line without jerking. Kids were scared due to low set oversized windows feels like if collision they would end up in your lap. Ford missed the boat on this one. Slide doors are awkward and difficult to use - will hurt you when closing if not carefull. Rear wipers blasted off in car wash. Six seat, back row weird - very, very little cargo space when seats set up. Missing safety features most cars have - no blindside warning system.
A GREAT LITTLE SHOP VAN THAT DOES A LOT!

33,000 miles so far,with 0 issues. I'm an "easy driver", and have got as much as 34 mpg on the road without a/c,and 30 with. I get 29 in town, and 27 with. It came with an amazing amount of standard features such as remote start etc. I use it primarily As a work truck and for camping. It was a little bit bouncier than my previous Chrysler minivan, but it has work truck suspension. Overall I love it!

Traded in the Ford C-Max I loved for the ability to move 100 miles without paying movers. The Ford Transit Connect XLT has the cargo space I need for large items, yet has the comfort and features (tire pressure monitoring, electric mirrors, built-in navigation...) I've become accustomed to...only wish the gas mileage was more like what I was getting from my Ford C-Max.

This vehicle is an absolute nightmare to drive especially on the highway. The transmission is sluggish and you get in your own way. The AC will turn off when you cut the vehicle off so when you turn it back on the AC doesn't blow until you switch it off and on again. The windshield is obnoxiously too large and if you are facing the sun prepare to get baked because even the sun visors won't protect you. I hate this vehicle with a passion.
