Mustang Mach-E - we are hooked

We purchased our ordered Mach-E in November 2022. It is remarkably comfortable and fun to drive. We ordered it with the Comfort & Technology Package (and highly recommend it). We had a Grizzl-E Classic EV charger installed. The car has the feature to set charging parameters so a smart charger is unnecessary. We considered keeping our ICE vehicle while making the transition to an EV. We glad we decided to trade the car anyway. We would buy this car all over again. It's just what we hoped it would be.

Mach Wheeeeee

An excellent EV from Ford, of all places, but they've established themselves as one of the front runners in the EV space with this car, the F150 Lightning, E-transit, and others. Kudos to them. I have a 2022 Extended Range AWD Premium, and very few complaints. It's as quick as you'd ever need a car to be. It's very quiet, and there's plenty of storage with the frunk. Sync 4A can lag a bit at times, but for the most part, the touch screen is very responsive. The Ford Pass app is a little clunky but also cool to have so much info about your car on your phone, and will improve with time. I really enjoy starting and locking/unlocking my car with Apple Watch, I have a shortcut from preferred Watch face for it. Only real con about this car is the suspension on everything but the GT-Performance trim (which gets Magneride) - the regular suspension is stiff and a bit unsettled, and will sometimes give you an extra "bounce" when you hit something at speed. All manufacturers are learning to deal with the heavy weight of EVs, so I suspect this will improve in future versions of the car. This can be fixed aftermarket though, if it really bothers you (KWV3, I'm looking at you). Other than this issue though, I have no regrets on my purchase, and would make it again in a heartbeat. It looks and feels like driving the future, and I love

Like it as much as my Macan

Now that I have 15k miles on the car I'm ready to talk... Premium trim 2 wheel drive, 230 mile range... First the bad, but not really... Windshield and sunroof had to be resealed. The dealer had the car for three days, and gave us a nice loaner. There was a software recall in June that required another hald a day drop off at the dealer. Lastly the rear seatbelt did not recoil back into place... two weeks for the part. Ford's techs always look a bit puzzled when asked questions. Yes its not a five liter... they are also really interested on if you like it... yep, I do. The Good and great: easy to charge in the garage (40amp-220v). Don't need to buy a juice box or wall box, the supplied cable works great. I just saved you five hundred bucks. Rides as well and quieter than my Macan S. Blows the BMW X3 away (my dogs to the beach car). B&O stereo is the best I've owned in a vehicle, Car play and maps are effortless, phone as a key is a great feature... buy ford only gives you one key (that may have changed). Its fast...its quiet... its good looking... pro tip: buy the ford rubber mats and don't waste money on the junk from weathertech... I wasted a few hundred bucks on that junk... get in line if you want one.

Cool Car

This car is by far the coolest car I've owned. Overall, this has been a great upgrade from my 2012 Chevy Volt. I have the Comfort/Technology package. The BlueCruise takes some getting used to, but it works great on the highway. The infotainment system can be a little difficult to navigate. The best bet is to try and use voice commands when possible. Apple Carplay works really well and the integration with Apple Maps is fantastic. I'm also pretty pleased with how well Phone-as-a-Key (PAAK) works. I generally leave my car keys at home now. If you have issues with it, just open the FordPass app and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. That's resolved any issues I've had so far. The ride and handling on this vehicle are pretty good. I wish it had a little sharper turning radius, but I'm also used to driving smaller cars.

Really like my Mach E, only complaint about yhe vehicle is losing 40% of my range in winter. The biggest gripe I have os the lack of charging stations in the Midwest. There's really only one rapid charger between Chicago and Indianapolis, in Lafayette. The last time I was there, only one charger was putting out over 50KwH, and several cars were waiting. The infrastructure for EV's is nowhere near ready for prime time. Not sure what the big 3 are thinking, eliminating ICE vehicles. Car has lost half its value in 18 months, still no chargers anywhere, regretting buying it.

I have owned mine for 8 months and waited to see how it all settled before I wrote it all up. I love this car and it won’t be my last. I’ve owned many vehicles in a wide range of price points. I currently have a Lexus ES as well. I’d rather drive the MME any day. I took what I could find so I would have went Premium if one had been available but am just good since I’ve added heated seats. I live in New England and the AWD is much more capable than our Subaru. I don’t have one fear about driving this thing any where or any time. It isn’t as comfortable as the Lexus but it’s not suppose to be. Went shopping for a RAV4 Prime but luckily I hated it and came home with this beauty instead.

I have been waiting for a really COOL all EV for five years. Traded in a 2018 Volt hybrid. I've looked at every EV out there and didn't find on that nocked my socks off. The new Cadillac Lyriq caught my attention. I went ahead and bought the Mach E and thought I would trade it in on the Lyriq in a couple of years. I really like my Mach E. It's fast, comfortable, quiet and looks great. The new Lyriq will have to be really great to get me to switch. We'll see!

Wanted to go to an electric vehicle after having a Prius for many years. What an upgrade! I love my Prius and we are keeping it, but the Mach-E is in a league of its own. Incredible acceleration. Premium interior. Comfortable for passengers as well in the back. My one wish list item would be higher ground clearance so it would live up to the SUV classification fully. However, that is a small nit. This is a great car, and with the extended battery pack I have yet to experience any range issues.

Seatbelts ripped off in my hand really ford

The limitations and the promises made by this car after waiting for two years have been absolutely horrible. The car is mid rid of electronic problems in ghosts in the machine where things come and go and Ford pass app constantly telling you there's issues and then they go away. From loud clunking noises in the drivetrain to strange tones going off in the car while you're driving for no reason stay away from this car at all costs. To mention the fact that they provide it with defective seatbelts.

That car is fast, yes. The cars looks good, yes. Decent sound system; nice, beautiful glass roof! Yes, for $1500 more. See, that is the problem right now, and people don’t see it. I test drove the GT with Performance package which right now is about $70k, and that is, if you are lucky enough to find a car sales agent with a little integrity, which in reality is extremely unlikely (they do exist, though). “Delivery” is no longer the usual $750 I usually see on other cars, even if it comes from Germany. Well, check the window sticker for these - $750? No - $1100 AND up to $1400. The car is made here, in the US, and still, this is a “non-negotiable” fee that the customer needs to pay for. How? Why? This is where we start. The interior of the car is NOT good. The quality of the materials simply doesn’t make you feel like your money went somewhere (and that is a lot of money; there is a lot of competition out there for that amount of money). Steering wheel feels cheap, seats are nicer on the base model (yes, the seats are simply ugly on the performance model, and you cannot make changes). With the tax incentive it does make it more attractive, but that doesn’t help with the $1100+ monthly payment at 5% interest (interest rates are extremely high- credit at 776). As a daily driver, the advertised 276 miles of range will only be attainable if you simply changes lanes and move the steering wheel - in other words, you have almost 500 hp at your disposal; you should be able to have a little fun. Right? I floored it a couple of times (drove the car for about 30 minutes, to get a good idea). And my range dropped to 136 miles. Yes, 136 miles left of “fun”. To summarize, extremely overpriced - I wouldn’t pay more than 57-62k for the GT PERFORMANCE model PLUS the incentive. Yeah, it’s a “Mustang”. But, why should I pay more for just to have the Mustang horse displayed on the front of the car? Because that is all it is. The Tesla Model Y is a better car all around. The range is higher; the batteries are of better quality, and you get so much more range, even though it doesn’t look as good from outside 🤷🏻‍♂️. The MACH E base models should not exceed 50k and the GT should come with the performance package included at around 58k - 62k, PLUS incentive. Not a good decision…. Wait a few months and you will see how your interior will start to deteriorate. Also, the range changes abruptly. They should have made it a little slower for the sake of range. Who needs 500 horsepower anyway? If that is the case, get an ICE vehicle, and wait for battery tech to get a little better. If I could wrap my head around those ugly looking kidney grills of the BMW I4 or the ix4, there would not even be a decision to make. Sorry, Mustang enthusiasts. It’s all hype - don’t be fooled.
