2019 Ford F-150 Raptor 4dr SuperCrew 4WD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 10A)
Upfront, in 1 1/2 years I have had five warranty claims. Water in tail light, infotainment head unit replacement, cam phase sensor replacement, leaking transfer case and leaking rear engine seal. Service center covered all under warranty and told me don’t sweat it your trucks under warranty but I told them it does not leave me with a feeling of confidence when my truck has been repaired … five times in less than one and ahalf years. So I went and bought an aftermarket bumper to bumper warranty and now the truck doesn’t break down of course.
The positives about the truck, it is very fast which comes in handy in those situations where people are being a knucklehead around you on the interstate. The suspension is all you could ask for in a truck and I cannot think of anything negative to say about it I love it. The seats themselves are comfortable but the headrest is at a funny angle that will make you push your head just a little bit forward leading to back discomfort on a road trip exceeding three hours. The space in the truck was better than I had anticipated. I can put three car seats across in the back and I can stand up, hunched over of course, and buckle my kids in without trouble. As for gas mileage, if you keep the truck under 75 miles an hour you can expect to see over 17 miles to the gallon on steady cruising. One thing that is kind of a double edge sword is the size of the thing. It is huge. This is good for fitting your whole family and all their gear, but I can be tricky park in the thing or driving in urban settings. This is my first truck,my wife begged me to not get another station wagon, so I always feel a little self-conscious when getting out of this big rig in a parking lot. I used to clown my friends who had gigantic trucks for compensating so that goes through my head every day.
I think I got a dud and that raptors are generally more reliable than mine. At least that is what I hope.
