Not worth the hassel

The back doors like to freeze closed in winter makingnit hard to get in or out. The rear wheel edging is coming off and to top it off the windshield washer fluid is not working.

We chose this suv based on the cargo space, perfect for our dogs to hang out, and the amazing technology in the vehicle felt like luxury to me in this affordable suv. We can go fast with sport mode. And the seats are very comfortable. The ONLY issue my husband has is the delay when we change gear to reverse takes too long sometimes. We don't know if that's a normal dial gear changer feature or what it just annoys him. For me I don't really care. This car has been amazing for my needs and more. Can't wait to take on more trips !

The Ford Edge is a great crossover suv It rides and handles great and very dependable

We got a good deal on our new 2017 Ford Edge, and it was a good ride for the price. The problem was that at only 57,000 miles, the torque converter failed due to faulty welding. The transmission would suddenly disengage and the car would shudder violently, a serious hazard when driving at speed. There was a recall that applied to later 2017 and 2018 models, but our Edge was a few months outside the recall dates. Ford customer service was absolutely terrible and made no attempt to fix the problem or reimburse us for the $2500 repair job. This is a serious safetyy hazard and I have reported it to the NHTSA government agency hoping that they will expand the recall. I would not recommend this car unless the torque converter issue has been fixed. I would also be leery of buying another Ford due to their uncaring attitude to serious safety hazards in their cars.
