Acceleration commentsThis truck leaves the line with surprising vigor. While it's fairly easy to spin the tires (and slower), it's equally easy to do it right. Upshifts are a little hard and occur right at 3,000 rpm. There's a noticeable flat spot in 3rd gear at about 60 mph where power seems to wane and then come back.
Braking ratingGood
Braking commentsI'm not sure how to rate the braking for such a behemoth. There's nothing particularly good or bad about it. The pedal is firm, not hard, and the truck stopped straight each time. We didn't use the "Jake Brake" for our tests. Rating? Good for its class.
Handling ratingAverage
Handling commentsSkid pad: The fact that this truck even did the skid pad test should be enough. On the second set of laps, I found a way to slip the rear tires ever so slightly for a better time. Remarkably neutral, considering its size and height. Steering is quicker than I would've predicted. Slalom: not tested.
