The 2010 Impala LTZ is overall a wonderfully designed vehicle, inside and out. Operation of the car is very intuitive and sensible. The LTZ has good lower lumbar support (unlike the LT); however, the head-rest is TOO FAR FORWARD creating neck pain, especially on long drives (it is a mystery as to why the headrests on cars are being pushed forward to unnatural and difficult positions). The car is responsive and powerful; however seems to have less responsiveness and pickup than the LT (another mystery), despite a theoretically more powerful engine, dual exhaust, etc. Onstar is SPLENDID indeed! Sunroof inside shade does not open up the full way (to enable full exposure of the sky-window).

I bought this car used from the dealer not even 2 years ago, long story short it is already dead because I cannot afford to replace the engine. I got this car with 130,000 miles on it and had to replace the transmission within a few months, even though from day one of having it I realized something was wrong. (side note people didn't believe me because I'm a female) Aside from the transmission I have had brakes replaced, the battery, water pump, radiator, steering rack, belts, the thermostat. This car has been such a money pit for me and I would never recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I have kept up on regular car maintenance and yet my car is still dead. ( I've gotten transmission flushes, oil changes, etc) There was also a recall on airbags for my car but I never received a letter to bring it in to be fixed. In short, I'm pretty sure I will never buy a Chevy -used or new- because having this car was such a bad experience. Tomorrow I'm looking into buying a used Mercury or Ford and from those reviews, that already seems like a better choice even with them buying older than my 2010 Chevy.

Haven't been towed yet but seems to be number of small issues, check engine light, tire wear, wheel bearings, otherwise driven 130,000 engine and transmission appear strong

2010 LS Impala. Had the car from new. It has 43k miles on it. The vent in the AC that switches from hot to cold has been replaced twice in a year. The inlinement is expensive adding $100 to the cost because of design. The transmition died last week (warenty) but still.... 43k miles... really? The gass millage sucks too.

Have a 2001 base impala with 180K miles, I call it the Beast, best car I ever had cept for the leaky aluminum rims. Looking to replace I considered the LTZ, but I drive slow and don't need the power, do need gas mileage and can't afford to replace the 18" $200 tires every 2-3 years. So I got a 1 year old (rental) LT with the luxury package (spoiler, sunroof, heated leather, power passenger seat, Bose) with 24K miles, silver, 17" rims (can buy 740AB Michelins or Goodyears) with better MPG on the 3.5L. Very good looking car, very quiet and smooth. I'm short and I like how high up the power seats go. I call this one the Beauty.
