Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsNeeds a fairly high-rpm (about 2,800) launch to overcome big-tire bog. Best run was with slight spin/bog/go. Shifter is slick, but gates could be more distinct. Linear power up to soft rev limiter. Third gear is still pretty short, so the car needed 4th for the quarter-mile. I didn't bother with the launch control function due to previous less-than-optimal results.
Braking ratingVery Good
Braking commentsMedium/soft pedal with little idle stroke. Some dive, distances improved with repeated runs and heat up to fifth stop.
Handling ratingVery Good
Handling commentsSkid pad: Decent info from steering wheel regarding front/rear grip levels. Neutral with a whiff of understeer at the limit. With ESP on, it chopped the throttle a bunch. Slalom: Crisp turn-in and very neutral (and non-threatening) behavior allowed me to steer it with the throttle at the rear. Late turn-in with that quick front-end bite worked best to pass by the "back" of each cone rather than going parallel to it.
