My Vette
The ride is firm but smooth. The body styling is superb, with no wind noise at any speed. The drive train is quite smooth and very responsive. The styling is the best yet for Corvette.
C-6 2005 Corvette
I have owned the C-6 2005 since Feb and I have to say the car is outstanding. It gets great gas mileage, has superior handling, and lets of get up and go. This car is the sports car of sports cars. The only cars that can compare cost tens of thousands more than the Vette.

The Corvette C-6 can't be compared
Chevrolete made all the changes on the C-6 that I would like to have seen on my 2000 C-5 and them some. This car exceeds my expectations as a Corvette lover. The moment I saw the C-6 in person I was trading up. Way up. It is no doubt the most sports car for the price. The pictures and TV ads do not do adequate justice to the appearance of the car in person. My car insurance went down due to the additional safety features. The C-6 is a head turner.
2005 Corvette Convertible
I have about 4500 miles and the only thing I can find wrong is the way the top fits to the body. Have air noise at about 65 miles an hour. Not really a big deal when you have a car like this. Great car.
Best Corvette Ever
I was trying to choose between the Porsche 911, the Boxster S or the C6 Corvette. They are all great cars, but I just fell in love with that from dead stop to fast performance. The car handles great with the Z51 option.
Finally
Have wanted a Vette since I was little. Now that I could afford one, etc. everyone thinks I'm going thru the mid-life crisis thing. Oh well I was not disappointed in this car. I have owned this car since 11/04 and everyday (no kidding) I look forward to getting in this car to drive it. It is so nice to barely touch the gas and have so much power. I love this car.
Built For A Man, But Made For A Woman
I had not driven a Vette in over 15 years until I recently got in the driver's seat of the 2005. Needless to say all the reasons I never bought one, aside from being too young, are GONE! The difficult clutch, the stiff shifter, the hard steering, are all gone. Chevy has really come full circle to make this car so easy to drive and opened up the market to women sports car enthusiasts like me. Thankfully I am still young enough to truly enjoy this car. Happy birthday to me from my awesome husband!
By far the best sports car for the money
I recently bought a 2005 C6 with 2000 miles on it. This is the 4th Vette I have owned. The new C6 dominates the other cars in every category. This car feels like you are a part of it and never disappoints me in any way. It's a great head turner and by far my favorite Vette.
New car
I traded a 1999 Corvette coupe for the 2005. I loved the '99, but the '05 is a giant leap forward. Great build quality, easier drivability. A well done upgrade to a beautiful car.
Corvette Forever
I had bought 1976 Vette when I had graduated from college and had the car until kids came along. Now the kids are out of college and a 2005 Vette is back in my life. This car is fantastic. The performance and handling is phenominal. I took it to Pocono Raceway for a track day and this car blew me away. I will always have a Vette in my garage
Sunset Bomb
Only complaint is that a lot of heat enters thru the tinted roof, and had to have a custom top make for it, instead of paying $1900.00 for an additional color coded hard top.
2005 corvette
I have owned other Corvettes and this is the best all around one. It has lots of power and rides great for a sports car very fun to drive around town or on the hwy.
Impresive. Period.
The car has completely floored me. I love this car to death. I have owned alot of vehicles and I have never fallen in love with a car untill this one. Although I have made a few minor adjustments, this is by far the king of the consumer road. There isn't another car under $100,000.00 that can touch it. Also, for being a 6.0L V8 monster, the MPG is unusually good. Buy one today (just not in Le Mans blue like mine :D)!
C6 with Z51
I love the exterior styling and after a year the car still gets loads of positive comments at the gas station etc. I have done four track schools in the car and have been generally disappointed with the performance. The automatic transmission will shift at inopportune times and even with the traction control set in the "Performance" mode the car feels rather unbalanced when going through a off camber down hill which causes the tranny to hunt for a gear. The Z51 suspension along with the run flat tires gives a very harsh freeway ride which becomes punishing after about two hours on the road. The transmission puts out loads of heat and the center console can toast your right leg.
More fun than the bat mobile.........
This has been the most exciting vehicle I have ever purchased and driven and it is with great pride that I highly recommend the new C6....... you literally will wonder why anyone would require more than 400 HP with that new L2 V8. You will love it!
Fast and the Finesse
Incredible power, which is to be expected from this car, but also great ride and comfort features. The handling makes you feel extremely confident as it feel like it is being force down to the road even as it is getting close to it's 186 MPH top speed and always seems to have lots power available at any speed. I am so glad I have had the abilty to take it out on the autobahn.
My First Vette
What a sweet ride! Fast, comfortable, a head turner, even in Belleair Beach among all the Porsches and Mercedes sport coupes. The C6 lives up to all it's billing and then some. Great handling on long trips as well as around town.I have to drive it every day (maybe that's why I have almost 15000 miles on it since May '05). People come up to look at it everywhere I go. Even teenagers roll down their windows at stop lights to comment on what a beautiful car it is. I waited a long time for my first Corvette, but it was definitely worth the wait.
This Car Turns Heads
Since I purchased my Corvette coupe in August 2005 I have experince nothing but pure joy whenever I drive it. I get compliments on a regular basis. This car is not only powerful but its also extremely fun to drive. Believe it or not, I've even been asked by policeman how fast it goes. I always give them the politically correct response of "55 miles per hour". I would recommend this car to anyone!
5000 miles
I have owned a Jag, Mercedes, Nissan & Lexus. The '05 Vette has by far the best sports car peformance & style. The C6 really is a beautiful machine inside and out.
Somebody Stop Me!
Some 20 years ago they told me "you'd get over with enjoing driving". Oh, No!!! Not after I got my 1st Vette. Is 12,000 mi in 6 mo a lot for a 2nd vehicle? I meet people at car shows and wonder-"600miles in a year, 900miles in a year" How can you own a Vette and only look at it - I know - the exterior gets the highest ratings. But still I can't stop driving it, mostly w/top down. Somebody stop me!
Fantastic fun
Just driving to the store is fun. King of the road. Car is bi-polar. Put the pedal to the metal and everybody around ducks. It is so much fun. And... after 15 months it has not been back to the dealer for repairs.
C6 the best Vette ever!
This is my third Corvette and by far the best Corvette ever. I've had the third generation and fifth generation Corvettes and all I can say is that they did it right this time with the sixth generation Vette. From the styling and handling to the sound and navigational system all is American Classic Corvette. I had second thoughts about the fixed headlights but it is the thing that impresses me the most. Absolutely gorgeous, absolutely practical, absolutely American!
Chevy Did It Again
This car has everything, the best bang for the buck. From the moment you hit that button ignition and the pipes roar up its a pleasure to drive. It handles very well and its very hard to lose control when punching out the twisties. Remove the standard Targa top and enjoy a cruise down the beach as everyone gawks and you hear the voices of little kids say, "Mommy I want THAT car when I grow up".
Best of All Previously Owned Corvette's
This is the best of all the Corvette's I've ever owned. Not that I've owned many, just 4, but this C6 is so awesome. Just sitting in it feels so good, and to drive it is a feeling that is indescribable. You feel as if you're part of the road, and going up through the 6 speed transmission gives you that feeling of all that awsesome, raw power this really has! Before this, I had a slightly modified Y2K Vette that turned heads no matter where I was, even if parked! I've had more people come to me in a parking lot just to ask questions about this gorgeous vehicle! I love everything about this. The fit and finish is so refined from previous years, and the comfort is awesome.
Make me say wow!
Ive been waiting to get a real sports car for as long as I can remember. I wanted a classic but the money for what you get was too high for me. So I took an '05 with 20k miles for a test drive. 5 miles later I was hooked. I now have a "new" black '05 C6 with 700 miles. This car is so much fun to drive. The power is endless, and the brakes are equally impressive. It has magnetic ride control that gives a firm but civilized ride in touring mode, and a very firm tight ride in sport mode. The best of both worlds. I never get tired of looking at this car and from the looks I get neither does everyone else. Very happy to have a "real" Americian sports car. My wife even likes to drive it!
Best of the Best
I am 62 years young and this is the 17th vette that I have owned, and is the best yet. You can spend a whole lot more for a sports car, but dollar for dollar, the Vette is by for the best value for true performance, looks and fun to drive car. I never get tired of driving it and not to mention that it makes me feel a lot younger than I am. I guess that is why I am on my 17th one. I refuse to grow up and act like some of my old friends. If you have never owned one, you owe it to yourself to enjoy life a little more.
Almost super car!
I bought a 2005 Z51 model last year with low miles and love it. Upgraded interior from the C5. Some people complain about the seats, but fits my fat love handles good!! LOL Ok these cars are made to rip around a track, with different traction controls to learn. You'll really never push the limits of the LS2 on the street. It's insane fast!!It frightens me sometimes still, and I've owned lots of fast cars. The Handling is very smooth as a BMW but bumps are a little stiffer. What can you expect when Z51 has stiffer suspension for track. But it's not bad at all. The Z51's lower 1rst to 3rd gears is very noticeable. When the car puts your head to the seat without even trying! Awesome car Period!
Wife's Choice for her summer ride!
Very few issues, active handling alarm due to underseat connection needing securing, but otherwise, this Vette with Z51 and LS2 w/ 6 sod manual has become as much fun as my Harley CVO, and gets about the same miles each year.

Very nice car that depreciates slow
Great car, particularly if used and not abused. No muss ..no fuss. Smooth, powerful, fun, supportive seats, excellent heating and A/C. Decent cupholders and nice stereo altough X/M radio doesnt play nearly loud enough at freeway speeds with top down.
2005 C6 manual 6spd. Lamans Blue Convertible
The 2005 C6 six speed manual shifts smooth with a comfortable ride for a low profile. Feels like your close to the road and handles extremly well with allot of rubber on the road with 285 on rear tires and 245 on front. What I like most is surprising room in C6, i am 6ft 3in tall and 275 and it is accomidating with ample head room and large trunk when top is up. C3,4,and even 5 have less room and the early vette's are for small people. Also love the classic look compared to the high priced C7and C8's. Great value for high end sports car in comparison to european models! Would own nothing else.

Really The Best
My focus has always been on the C2. I lived and breathed this model. Recently I was in a financial position to purchased a numbers matching 1965 convertible from a friend of mine. It scratched my itch. A few months ago a Bowling Green 2001 C5 caught my eye. I bought it. This C5 is amazing. It has a great ride. Enough power and it’s a stunner. In my opinion anyone looking for a Corvette should seriously consider the C5. From the articles I have read and the mechanics I contacted. You cannot go wrong with the C5. Very reliable car. I try to drive it everyday. It is a lot of fun!!!

2005 C6 Corvette
Exceptional value, phenomenal performance that's easily used, vast improvements in interior and exterior quality, much more refined, a true world class car. Best car built in America.
Dream car - tempered by reliability
Buying a new 2005 Corvette was a long awaited "dream" event for me. My initial excitement at owning and driving a car that not only looks great and drives great has been severely tempered by the fact that the car has suffered repeated reliability problems (mostly on the same issue) that have left the car in the shop for over 30 days in the first 1700 miles of ownership. Hopefully this will be resolved and I can actually start to enjoy my new vehicle for the reasons that I bought it for: looks and driving excitement!
49 year wait
Wanted one since I was 6 years old. This car is truly amazing. Never thought I could get enjoyment just looking at a car. Magnetic red finish is stunning. Tramp on the gas and magic happens. As amazing as the engine is, the handling is unbelievable. The Z-51 package is a worthy investment.
C5 to C6
I had a 1999 Chev c5 vett and now own the new 2005 C6. This new Vette is an amazing vehicle and is packed with great features and technology. I have been impressed with the changes made in the new car and they include better performance, ride, handling and it is much quiter than the c5 model. I also opted for the 6-speed manual and it really makes this car fun to drive. The new Corvette attracts a lot of attention and I often find people hovering aroung the vehicle whether it is at a car show or the gas station. I have owned a lot of sports cars and you will not find another one out there that provides the level of performance and amenities for the money. Up next for me, the 2006 Z06
OLDER IS BETTER
i belive the older style corvettes are better this may have speed but the old vetts have the looks
Danger
For years the 6 speed transmission is the worst in "smoothness" hard and compares to the shift of a tractor ... if compared to other sport's cars notable Porsche or Audi. Also the seat's lumbar suport is none existing.
Awesome
the corvette is america's best sports car and quite possibly the worlds best sports car.
The best
Remember when you rode in a Vette, It felt like were sitting on the asphalt? Not any more. We have taken our Vette on short road trips and the comfort is spectacular. The new suspenion really does the trick. My hat is off to Chevy.I f you're thinking about getting one, don't miss out! Love the coupe so much, I've got my convertible ordered. Have to wait 4 months, but it will be worth the wait.

Fun to drive but not the upkeep
It’s a fun car for sure!
nice car
this is a comphy and fast car
It's OK
Not a bad car. A little overpriced. A Honda S2000 would be a better choice. Fit and finish are fair, nothing to brag about. Interior is sparse and void of luxury, in fact dated and disapointing. Bought the car to try to recapture my youth (had a couple of 60's versions). Effort failed.
Need to look back
This car is not as sexy as the 1962 vette. It even under performs compared to my 1962. They need to re-look at that design and go back to a real sports car. My M3 convertible(2004) is much more fun to drive and it feels more sporty as well. It's not as expensive as a '62 or the M3 but then you really get what you pay for. I'm actually disappointed, I was looking for '62 exhileration again, and they missed by a mile...what happened to the 327/340horse with real giddyup...
