Bad Brakes
Truck overall: I like it. Braking system: Poor. Just dont grab... Watch out for quickly changing traffic lights....cause you will have to go through em. Also the rear window makes it very difficult to park.
Take care of your seals
First thing I did was to dismantle all of the "removeables" and Armor-All all of the seals and weatherstripping. I have never seen so may seals in all my life but taken care of, they should last. Just a maintenance headache. Watch the rear window install closely, as if you are off just a little, it will not seal correctly.

2002 Avalanche 8.1 2500
Have had the 8.1 2500 Avalanche since Sept. Nicest truck I have owned.
wow
I love it
Love my truck
My Avalanche has been a great vehicle. No problems at all. I love driving a truck that is so comfortable. We drive from VA to FL, about 11 hrs straight and get out with no discomfort. None my of vehicles get great fuel mileage, so that isn't a huge concern.
