2020 X2 M35i is a blast to drive
I had a 2016 X1 and to be honest, it was a little disappointing as it was pretty basic and boring to drive. Upgraded to the X2 M35i and the performance engine is a blast to drive! Way more pep and power. I also really like the interior and don't find the smaller rear window to be an issue at all. Overall, it's a perfect city driver (no issues in the snow like the other reviewer). It's size is just right for tight parking and yet has plenty of cargo room for what I need. The only negatives is the suspension is a little stiff and the brakes a little touchy. But, the rest of it makes up for those two details.

Still...A Driver's SUV
We have now passed 13m miles and no change in driving characteristics. This is a brilliant handler and still very comfortable. It has all the performance you will need if you are a sane driver. The new model X2 comes out next year. We have to check it out!

Comfort and fun
This is a very comfortable car to spend time in. It hugs the road. The navigation and controls are intuitive. I have only had it a month but it’s the most comfortable car I have ever driven.

BMW X2 Lease is my BIGGEST REGRET - Disaster
This vehicle was sold by BMW FEEEPORT with RUSTED ROTARS. The dealership never took responsibility and dismissed the complaints from day 1. BMW corporate also never took any corrective action. I would never give my business to these companies. The BMW X2 design is what reeled my husband and I in. We were about to lease a mini-cooper and considering they are part of the same group, we were accompanied to the BMW dealership to sign our contract. This was June 2021 when we walked across the showroom floor and saw the floor model X2, we stopped dead in our tracks and after a 5 minute test drive we decided to upgrade into the luxury driving experience. What a regret, this was a substantial financial upgrade which proved to be our biggest regret in the 20 years of driving vehicles. I have friends and family that have been driving BMW for 40 years and they have never experienced any of the problems I have with this vehicle. I do not believe my lease represents BMW properly, I was given a floor model DEFECTIVE X2. The check engine light was on since my test drive, the sales person assured me that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and the light was one only because the car was on the sales floor and needed to driven. Fast forward, not only did the check engine light remain on, when the car moves in reverse it generated sounds like a steamship horn-blower. What a show I would put on when having to parallel park on a daily basis. Despite calling the sales person, service at the Freeport Dealership, I wasn't able to get my car in for servicing with a loaner vehicle. After some research, I discovered the BMW Freeport Dealership was a franchise, hence the grossly negligent sales and service standard. I decided to contact BMW Manhattan and BMW North America. After one year of driving this disgraceful vehicle which cost double the price of my original Mini cooper lease, the added insult is to think you will be experiencing luxury when paying $700 for a BMW and the opposite occurs. A [non-permissible content removed] vehicle, disgraceful service and after sales support and most importantly driving a vehicle which sounds like the car a horn when parking and backing up. Not to mention the tires, I have had to bring the car in 5 times to replace the tires. I have lease VW and Mini the most of my life and NEVER had to bring any of my cars in as much as i have had to for this damn DEFECTIVE BMW X2.

mileage
What kind of mileage is everyone getting - quoted 23 in city - I'm getting 19 with conservative driving even on the eco-setting?? That said, I find the seats very comfortable and it drives beautifully.
