2027 Audi SQ6 Sportback e-tron

The 2027 Audi SQ6 Sportback E-tron is a sportier version of the Q6 Sportback E-tron, which itself is a swoopy fastback variant of the standard Q6 E-tron electric SUV. The SQ6 Sportback is only offered with dual-motor all-wheel drive, with those motors producing 483 horsepower in typical driving or up to 509 ponies in short bursts. That high output impacts its battery range, but with an estimated 285 miles per charge, the SQ6 Sportback E-tron is still competitive with other high-performance all-electric SUVs. If you like your interiors brimming with tech, the Audi will not disappoint. A wide dual-panel instrument display and infotainment touchscreen combo comes standard, with a smaller passenger-side dash screen available.   

There are many all-electric luxury SUVs on the market but few as sleek-looking as the SQ6 Sportback E-tron. The Porsche Macan Electric comes closest, and in 4S trim it gives the Audi a run for its money. Speaking of money, you'll need a bit more to get behind the wheel of a Macan EV. If you don't need a raked silhouette, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, BMW iX and Polestar 3 are fine alternatives. 

The main difference between the standard Audi SQ6 E-tron and the SQ6 Sportback E-tron is the sloping rear roofline, which results in a streamlined profile but a less useful cargo area. The SQ6 E-tron is a more traditionally styled SUV, and it has 30.2 cubic feet of luggage space available behind the rear seats and a full 60.4 cubic feet when those seats are folded down. Meanwhile, the SQ6 Sportback E-tron offers 26.1 cubic feet behind its second row and 53.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Rear headroom is also impacted, with the Sportback sacrificing 1.4 inches to the raked rear end.
