Good car, a bit heavy for the track; bad service

I like how Audis behave on the track, but the S4 is a bit too heavy, which results in a lot of damaged tires and brakes. Another issue with Audi is the dealers in the DC/MD. Hard to find good service and not get ripped off.

Very unhappy with 2022 S4

I have owned a lot of cars over 30 cars in my lifetime and my 2022 S4 is the most disappointing of all after 3 months of ownership. First off, I only received 1 key and dealer told me the 2nd would be mailed in 30 days because of chip shortage. It's been 90 days and now I am told another 90 days. I get different stories from Audi Customer Service and the dealer, so I do not know who to believe. This is an incovenience as my wife and I share the car. #2, The Audi Connect does not work. We have tried everything with Audi Corporate and the dealer and gave up. #3, The technology is just clunky and you are required to push too many buttons compared to our 2018 Audi. #4. One of the rear seat belt receivers stopped working, so the right rear seat is useless. #5. The ride is a bit harsh for a sports sedan. I am not expecting a Cadillac ride, but you feel every little crack in the road. I loved my 2018 A4 and really regret the 2022 S4. We are looking to trade it in on a different brand after 3 months and 1400 miles.

I had a 2014 and then 2018 A5 coups which I loved. Decided to go with a 2020 S4 next. Everything in the reviews is accurate. Lots of power and great interior. However, we found anything over a 30 mile dive is very uncomfortable. The sports seats feel too stiff, the ride too stiff (yes, it’s suppose to a bit). However, the biggest issue is the road noise at highway speed. And we’re not talking fun exhaust tunes. The car is incredible load. From hearing the tires to general road noise as compared to my A5. I’ve had the upgrades sound system in all 3 and it’s a waste of money on the S4. The road noise will compete with anything you have on. This may be a cool car for cruising around town or even the track. But forget about getting on a freeway for extended period of time - it’s exhausting.

NO Audi S, $400 alignmt -terrible split tires

If you are obsessed with Audi And about to buy sport model, do your research. I own S4 2018 brand new bought, after a year ,2019, 4 tires splitted and worn completely after a year? which makes me scare to drive and need it replaced ASAP. I’m a lady driver and drive sober like a grandma. They will never tell you Upfront with S Sport models that there’s special alignment, cost double due to a camera sensor $400 and have short life-time on tires- which astonished me when I brought my S4 back for a 2nd recall for services- I was told my tires are split and worn, about to tear - thats crazy. It’s about 18000 mileages. They gave me unusual reasons that most S models are like that!! So they try to tell you to get regular A models instead. (Roll my eye balls) I recently heard lot of bad news about Audi and disappointments from their clients that were there waiting for services- one said engine lights on after bought for 3 days , the other guy said noises after a week. And after 50,000 miles warranty, you will pay substantial for services for parts- ok look at alternative?audi , bmw or Mercedes or porches? Do research. Now you think.

I have come from Mercedes Benz to Audi, SLK, CLK and C Classes. The S4 (2019) really surprised, it is reassuring if you want to push it. The stance compared to Merc Benz is just a little firmer/sportier. I like the seats, they hold me in and i occasionally do long trips (last one 5400km over 10 days) the massage function is not super stronger, but it helped. The Drive Select is useful, the modes are quite different from each other. Dynamic Sport is very much fun, however the Suspension is very firm, i prefer the Suspension set softer which you can do in the Individual Mode. I have not had any problems with the Vehicle 32,000kms. This is my third A4 (this one is a S4 of course), only challenge a crack in a thermostat housing (last A4) - fixed in under an hour, so my experience is the Audi's are not unreliable and we also have a SQ5 2020 33,000 kilometres and Q3 (quattro) 15,000 kilometres - no challenges with either of these vehicles. The Fuel economy around town is not great, especially if want jump off the line at lights (i does bite), however over the 5400km trip it got to 6.7ltrs/100kms but averaged 7.2ltrs/100kms that was fair, especially as there were many many Grey Nomads on the Highway with caravans, it didn't get caught behind any of them. (i'm glad people still flash you if there are Police on the Road. Definitely a good car, i thought about an RS Model and said to myself WHY? This S4 is plenty quick and capable enough.
