rocket ship
wounderful sedan. perfect interior. not so great on gas. around 15 mpg in the city. sound system could be better. trunk space is great as well as snow driving. the feel of this car is firm and confident. a real workhorse. kick down to sport mode or use the tip and blast by most anyone. bad weather? see ya bmw.
Great Ride!!!!
Great vehicle; bought it to replace Expedition, and don't miss the big guzzler one bit! Great pick up, plenty of storage, decent economy, and fits in any parking spot. Only room for improvement...some of the functions (cruise, wipers, etc.) are somewhat hidden behind the wheel. Step on the gas, it's a blast.

lemon law lawsuit
My reliability experience with this car was terrible. Nearly 40 days in the shop in the first 12 months I owned it, and practically every problem was related to electrical issues. Audi's willingness to resolve the problem was terrible, and the dealer was of no help. I ultimately was forced to file suit under our state lemon laws. After 9 months of legal process, I prevailed under the state law and was reimbursed accordingly. My new Mercedes 4matic is far more comfortable and more reliable. It drives just as sporty, if not better, and turns heads too.
Worst car I ever loved...
Every day I travel steep, twisty mountain roads. The first time I took the 2.7T (6M) up the mountain, I couldn't believe how it clawed at the hills and turns, wanting more throttle than I had the guts to give. Even in rain and snow, the A6 has never blinked. When it goes, it really goes, however, its seen more than its fare share of time in the shop, 10+ times for major and minor stuff. :(
Bought a second one....
I started with 2000 4.2 and upgraded to a 2002 A6 4.2. Silky-smooth V8 engine, plenty of torque... Interior: The leather feels soft and rich, the dash-board looks perfect, the instruments well placed, and the there's plenty of room for 4 adults. Exterior: Understated and elegant, almost a sleeper. Handling is superb, rain or shine. You WILL need winter-tires, but that's standard in this performance class. Excellent brakes, and four-wheel traction will make for fun in city traffic too. If you know cars and can appreciate technology, buy an Audi and blend in -- it's a 50K car that feels like a 50K car should feel.
