Avi Steinlauf

Avi Steinlauf, Chief Executive Officer
Avi Steinlauf directs the company toward the goals of empowering the automotive consumer, maintaining the high quality of the workplace and building the company to thrive for the long term. He joined Edmunds in summer of 1998 as the Director of Business Development and has also headed the company's marketing and revenue management areas. Previously, he worked for Coopers & Lybrand's Knowledge Strategies Group. Avi earned an MBA degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree from Yeshiva College.

What car do you currently drive?
Always something different from Edmunds Long Term Road Test Fleet.

What was your first car?
A blue 1987 Acura Integra with a 1.6 L DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine. I loved the pop up headlights!

Seth Berkowitz

Seth Berkowitz, President
Since joining Edmunds.com in 2000, Seth Berkowitz has been responsible for innovating new products and developing new lines of business. Positions Seth previously held at Edmunds include Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel. Before his tenure at the premier online car shopping destination, he was a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. He earned a JD from the Columbia University School of Law, and his master's (History) and bachelor's degree (English) from Yeshiva University. Seth also studied at the Har Etzion Educational Center in Gush Etzion, Israel. He served as the President of Maimonides Academy in West Hollywood. He is a past President of the Young Israel of Century City and continues to serve on its board.

What's your favorite car memory?
The first time I ever got behind the wheel, driving my dad's Mercedes 450 SEL.

Stephen Felisan

Stephen Felisan, Chief Information Officer
Stephen joined Edmunds.com in 2005 and has played an important role in applying technology in the reinvention of key operational units within the enterprise and has directed many of company's enabling initiatives including continuous delivery, automation, virtualization, programmatic display advertising and cloud computing. As Chief Information Officer, Stephen Felisan is responsible for Edmunds.com's Software Engineering, Technical Operations, enterprise Information Systems and Data Operations groups. Stephen has over 20 years of technology leadership experience with Internet-based organizations. He holds a BS degree in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from UCLA.

Paddy Hannon

Paddy Hannon, Chief Technology Officer
Paddy Hannon is Chief Technology Officer at Edmunds.com, the premiere car shopping website. Paddy provides guidance and direction to the teams that are responsible for the companies advertising products and technology as well as the analysis which makes Edmunds the authoritative source of analytical/market information for the automotive industry. Under his guidance, teams develop the state-of-the-art software infrastructure that powers the company's data warehouse systems, reporting frameworks, and advertising products enabling Edmunds.com to provide cutting edge products for over 18 million monthly unique visitors and 10,000 franchise dealer partners. Paddy is an authority on big data, enterprise systems and using Open Source software for developing very large, highly available, high performance, scalable systems for the World Wide Web. He has been working on web-based products since the mid 1990's, from bioinformatics to secure web-based document management. Paddy received his BA from St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

George Kang

George Kang, Chief Revenue Officer
As Chief Revenue Officer, George leads a team responsible for optimizing and growing Edmunds' current revenue streams as well as exploring future partnerships and expanding opportunities in the market. He has been with Edmunds since 2001, and had previously served as the company's Sr. Vice President, OEM Business. Before joining Edmunds, he served as Vice President, General Manager of Primedia Automotive Digital. Earlier, he worked for Nissan and Mercedes-Benz in a variety of product development and marketing roles. Mr. Kang earned his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and earned his undergraduate B.S. in Business from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. George is an avid car enthusiast and has owned 28 cars.

What do you currently drive?
Fiat 500e — There are days when I wish I was driving a different car, but every morning while I am in the 405 carpool lane by myself it reminds me that my Fiat electric has its perks.

What was your first car?
First car I ever drove was a Cream Color Buick Estate Wagon. First car I ever owned was a silver Mazda MX6, which I fondly called the "silver bullet."

Julie Merges

Julie Merges, Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Julie is focused on Edmunds' most valuable resource, its people. She and her team are committed to building an engaging and rewarding culture where innovation and diversity of thought are nurtured. With teams focused on Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, and Workplace Experience, the Employment Experience Group focuses on innovative ways to find and develop the best people and challenges them to pursue their potential. Using innovative programs like "Take The Wheel" and Edmunds "Summer Camp", the team has reimagined the annual review process, and provided new programs to help individuals develop themselves both personally and professionally. As a result of their efforts, Edmunds has been named one of the top 20 Best Places To Work in Southern California in 5 of the last 6 years. Julie joined Edmunds in December 2014 after years in Talent and Organizational Development roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios, Health Net and Towers Watson. Julie earned her Master of Arts from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara.

Allen Ollis

Allen Ollis, Chief Financial Officer
Allen Ollis joined Edmunds.com in 2000 as Controller and has served as Vice President of Finance - and now Chief Financial Officer - since 2009. Allen previously served as Corporate Controller for JPS Industries, a public company engaged in the manufacture of various commercial and industrial products used in the electronics and construction industry, and as Controller of JPS's former subsidiary, JPS Automotive. He is a CPA (inactive) and practiced public accounting from 1985 until 1992 with Deloitte & Touche. He holds BA and MS degrees in accounting from Appalachian State University.

2008 Infiniti QX56

What is your favorite car?
1963 Chevy Impala. It's the car I first learned to drive.

Eugene Park

Eugene Park, Chief Product Officer
Eugene leads Edmunds.com's product management efforts and is responsible for the core products and features that make car buying easier with Edmunds. Since 2008, Eugene has been responsible for leading the company's major product development initiatives including key website redesigns that have resulted in improved user experiences. He began his tenure at Edmunds in 2005 as the Director of Technical Project Management, overseeing all IT infrastructure and software engineering projects. Prior to joining Edmunds.com, he was in charge of project management for Interactive Video Technologies (formerly Digital Lava). Eugene holds a BA from UCLA and an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.

Do you have any interesting car shopping stories?
In 2002, I paid $3000 over sticker price to be one of the first owners of the new MINI Cooper. Our pricing analysts would probably have advised against this.

Katti Ehoff Fields

Katti Ehoff Fields, Vice President, Product Development and Dealer Operations
Katti joined Edmunds in January of 2001 as the Web Production Manager and through her long tenure has led project management, strategic planning, product and sales operations functions. Before joining Edmunds, she worked for Science Applications International Corporation as a scientist developing websites and systems for government clients including the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Katti holds an MBA and an M.S. in Technology Management from University of Maryland, and a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Hood College.

Recently, Katti?s focus has shifted from building back-end dealer products to leading development of a portfolio of next generation mobile products for car shoppers. Katti also oversees the company?s Dealer Operations function, which provides industry-leading service to our dealer partners to ensure they maximize the ROI from their partnership with Edmunds.

A 1956 Chevrolet Bel-Air Beauville Wagon (fits 9 passengers with ease!)

What was your first car?
A cream colored 1982 Toyota Tercel Wagon with a blue plaid interior. My love for wagons runs deep!

Stephen Gandee

Stephen Gandee, Vice President, Product and Design
Stephen leads our Mobile & Advertising Products teams and our UX Design team. Stephen wears multiple hats but exceptional user experiences run core to his belief and guides the strategy for how to monetize and provide value to our customers. When Stephen is not focused on helping users find and buy cars he can be found thrill seeking on his surfboard, snowboard or mountain bike. When Stephen joined Edmunds in 2002 he was a Senior Software Engineer charged with automating the sales ordering & forecasts of the display advertising business for the company. Stephen previously held positions as the VP of Mobile and VP of Software Engineering.

What do you currently drive?
Stephen currently owns an un-restored muscle car ( 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T ) that his wife and daughters call the 'rusty old bucket' and cannot understand what the attraction is...

Nick Gorton

Nick Gorton, Vice President, Product Innovation
As Vice President of Product Innovation, Nick Gorton leads an agile team of product managers and developers in conceiving, testing and building new solutions to both dealer and consumer challenges. Previously, Nick was a co-founder and the CEO of the startup Carcode SMS, an automotive focused text-messaging platform acquired by Edmunds.com in 2014.

He earned his BA and MBA from Northwood University, a private university known for educating automotive industry leaders. Nick has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, including more than 10 years spent in a dealership, and has previously held an AFIP certification. Nick is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been asked to comment on the industry by publications including Automotive News and The New York Times.

Nick resides in Seattle, WA and enjoys backcountry skiing and long-distance motorcycle riding.

Laura Perlman

Laura Perlman, Vice President, Corporate Strategy
Laura Perlman joined Edmunds in July of 2016 as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy. In this role, Laura will guide the long-term strategic vision for Edmunds and help identify growth opportunities as the company continues to innovate ways to make the car shopping process easier and more seamless for consumers and dealers.

Prior to joining Edmunds, Laura was the Head of Corporate Strategy at Hulu, and was previously a member of the Marketing & Sales Practice at McKinsey, where she focused on Technology & Media, and a Strategy Manager at Microsoft. Laura holds a B.A. from Princeton University in Psychology and Neuroscience, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

What do you currently drive?
BMW 328i xdrive wagon — my husband insists it's a "sport wagon" but I think this is just a way to market to men. Regardless, it's perfect to just throw our ski gear or camping gear into and go.

What was your first car?
A teal Volvo 850 named Mr. Volvo, tricked out with rear-facing seats in the back.

Mark Rankin

Mark Rankin, Vice President, Dealer Platform Development
Mark Rankin joined Edmunds.com in 2015 as our Vice President of Dealer Platform Development. Mark leads both our business development and venture practices focusing on extending Edmunds.com's brand and user experience throughout the automotive shopping and ownership cycles. Mark also oversees the Hackamotive, Fastlane and Accelerator programs here at Edmunds. Mark is an industry veteran and has previously served as CTO for both eLead CRM and American Auto Exchange (AAX) where he lead innovation and product strategy for some of the automotive industry's most forward thinking organizations.

What was your first car?
A 1986 Buick Riviera. I was completely amazed by its styling and first ever touch screen interface (very pre-iPad). Based on sales, I may have been the only one.

Sheryl Washington

Sheryl Washington, Vice President, Partnerships
As Vice President of Partnerships, Sheryl Washington works to build stronger relationships throughout the automotive industry, as well as finding new opportunities to collaborate with allied industries. She joined Edmunds in 2000 as the Executive Assistant to the President, and over the next decade worked her way through Advertising Operations, OEM Sales and Sales Operations, Dealer Operations and Support before joining the Partnerships group. Sheryl graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a double major in Political Science and Women's Studies.

What was your first car?
A blue 5 speed manual 1980 Toyota Corolla named Fred (inspired by the movie Drop Dead Fred).
