Just bought from Toyota of Berkeley, CA. Last of a new 2012 Platinum, 4WD, Metallic Gray, 50 miles, with floormats, $63K MSRP, paid $52,900 before tax/fees. Good experience overall.
My 2012 Toyota Sequoia came with the standard head unit. So I bought an OEM Nav unit. I was able to get everything plugged in and working except the voice guidance gps. It just says drive to the highlighted area to start voice guidance. I was told I need the speed sensor wire plugged into the unit but I have no idea where it is or where it goes.
I like my 2012 sequoia, but HATE the entune system. I would seriously avoid the entune system as 80% of the time, it is unusable due to glare issues. I have adjusted the contrast and brightness to no avail. I contacted the dealership and Toyota directly but they offered minimal solutions all of which i had tried. (ie purchasing an anti-glare screen and adjusting the contrast.) They even told me to ... Read More

Finally picked up my 2012 platinum at the end of May with only 10 miles on the odo. Two weeks later went on a 3 week vacation to MI. Got back and already needs the 5,000 mile service. This is the ultimate road trip vehicle. We have three kids with two teenagers over 6' and everyone was comfortable. I actually was surprised how much luggage we could fit in the truck. ... Read More
Dear saadat1, (June 21st, 2012 4:01 PM) Our 2007 Sequoia rear latch broke this weekend as well. My husband was pretty upset. I told him I would check the internet to see if other owners had the same problem. As you know it is a common occurrence. What has happened since the 48 hours? Has Toyota Corporate responded since your last conversation with them? Toyota says they need to see our ... Read More
Does anyone know if the 2012 Toyota Sequoia will be available with Toyota's new Entune system? I've seen a few 2012 Platinum's, but none had the Entune. Today I was going through Edmund's new car pricing. Just for grins I selected the SR5 4x4. When I got to choosing options, it included "Display Navigation w/Entune" for $995 MSRP. What? So I checked the limited and platinum models; neither listed Entune as ... Read More
I went to a local Toyota dealership (Towne Toyota, Ledgewood , NJ) to get a monthly lease quote on 2012 SR5 (no other options added). It came out to be $599/month + NJ tax (7%) which was rounded off at $640/month. This is with $2000 down + $500 toyota incentive running promo until April of this year and standard 12, 000 miles/year for 36 months. All the formulas that I know ... Read More
Just adding my two cents....after calling a few dealerships in Orange County, pretty much every dealer could be talked into selling at invoice. We bought a 2012 SR5 with leather/lux package for $500 below invoice at Irvine Toyota. Important to note is that every dealer tried to sneak in the"TDA", or Toyota Dealer Advertising for $649, which has nothing to do with the invoice. Several dealers would not budge on that ... I asked this question of my dealer yesterday. According to him, not much will change. He did mention that it will get Toyota's new Entune system. I don't believe that will happen since the Sequoia is sold in such limited quantities. Our local auto reviewer did a write up on the 2012 model (click link below) and never mentioned Entune. Guess we won't know for sure until Toyota updates their website ... Read More
