Not sure what you are referring to; quoted below is my response to the reply I got to my original question as to how to remove the engine cover from a 2008 MB ML 320 CDI: "Thanks. Popped and reinstalled it - no problem. Got the Topsider vacuum (blue hand) pump and used it to suck out the transmission fluid from my son's 99 Volvo; will use it on my ML ... Read More
You can easily negotiate buyout at the end of the lease, if your current lease is through MBF. It's almost impossible to negotiate with any other bank. Don't start negotiating until you have 30 days left - as your account moves to the Lease Termination Department, which will contact you anyway - so don't call first (don't show interest). After they call, just ask: how much are you willing to discount ... Read More
Late response to a very old post... but if you are interested my 2008 ML320 CDI gets an overall average of 24MPG of City/Hwy. On the highway doing about 70 it will get 28/29MPG. I have not seen it ever hit 30MPG. These readings are all based on what the computer in the car is telling me on the dash. Given that Mercedes tunes the gas cars to run on premium ... Read More
White Plains (Pepe) Mercedes - ask for Paul Research - google search of all cars in category you are looking for at least 3 months before you are looking - then look to see what incentives each make is offering and any special discounts ( in mercedes case fleet discount -- i now know it may be possible to join USAA which would give a big fleet discount next time) go ... I own a R320 CDI 2008, bought new. Fantastic car, it is the most comfortable Mercedes I have ever owned. We get 21/22 mpg in town; 28/30 mpg on highway. The cruise control if fantastic for interstate and here in mountains, when we go down our very steep grades, the cruise will keep car from overrunning the speed you set. I change my own oil. I do it the same way ... Read More
There was a recall for various Mercedes models in July 2008 pertaining to an incorrect SCN (software calibration number) which dealt with incorrect fuel gauge readings as well as several other issues. Neither of your model years were listed on that July 2008 recall from the summary that I saw. It may be worthwhile to ask your mechanic whether your models could be suffering from this also, although not covered for ... Read More
I had a 2008 ML350 which was a great car. I could not get beyond 15MPG with my running around burb driving. When the gas went to 4.69 a gallon for premium, I panicked, traded by 3100 mile Benz for a 2008 RX400H. I had owned three or 4 RX models (gasoline) and was always happy although they were slightly underpowered. The RX400h is quick, but it is not built as ... Read More
Sure, you can get sticker shock at the gas station, but you don't have to give up your sport-utility vehicle. You don't even have to give up the carlike luxury trimmings you've come to expect as part of the SUV experience. That's what the 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec and 2008 Lexus RX 400h are meant for. Just picked up a new 2008 ML350 in Southern California for $9500 off MSRP. Talked with many dealers, couldn't get the $10,000 off MSRP. It wasn't that big a hassle to get it down to $9500 off MSRP, though only 1 dealer would touch that price. Fletcher Jones Mercedes (largest mercedes dealer) wouldn't go any lower than $9000 off MSRP..even though they have a LOT of 2008 ML350's in stock. MSRP ... Read More
Keep in mind the new 2009 ML350 has been agressively restyled, the body style is the same but there are a few facelifts and equipment changes on the 2009. The value of a 2008 ML350 after 36 mos is 47% and at 48 mos is 39% based on residual values from Mercedes-Benz Financial. On a new 2009 ML350 the value at 36 mos is 48% an at 48 mos is 42%. ... I saved over $7,000 off MSRP on a new 2008 ML-320CDI at Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood. The only bad part is since they have increased the factory incentives on 2008 models, they no longer offer the special financing rates. The best rate I got was 6.49% for 60 months with excellent credit. They are courteous and will deal over the phone. Check out their website at www.mblynnwood.com The person I dealt with ... Read More

I currently own the 2007 ML350. When i drive it, i dont feel any problems at all. Every once in a while the car doesnt shift automatically to the next gear. It takes a couple seconds. But never felt any jerking or lunging. lawing, you should not get the 2008 ML just yet. if possible, wait until may or until the 2009 ML Class is released. It looks sooooo much nicer. ... Read More
Hi I faced a similar decision recently and went with the 2008 X5 (w 3rd row seats) after owning the RX300 for 8 years. The previous generation RX (Japanese made) was incredibly reliable - not a single problem in 88,000 miles and had adequate space for family with 3 kids and dog. Unless you are doing any offroad driving, the performance differences are not significant between X5 3.0, RX 350 and ... Read More
I currently drive a 2008 ML320CDI and in terms of fuel economy it performs very well in my opinion. The figures of 18/24 are pretty accurate, though it really depends on your driving. After buying the car in December I took it on a road trip to New York where I got about 24.3mpg max even though I drove 80mph average but was very soft on the pedal. However, about 2 ... Read More
I want to do a 48 mos. lease on a 2008 Mercedes ML 350 with P1, heated front seats, voice activation, trailer hitch... MSRP's have been about $52,000 to $53,000 in Texas. I'll drive approx 12k miles/per year. What are the best lease factors and residual values? What percentage off MSRP is possible?
Its not too late afterall, since we are heading into the dealership tomorrow and probably going to close a deal on Sunday. You guys have been a big help so thanks for that! I was going to go to the Pembroke Pines dealer but he seemed somewhat aggressive to me. The Ft. Lauderdale dealer was much nicer and he seemed fair. I've read up on all the tricks and i'll be ... Hey guys! I am looking to purchase either a 2007 or 2008 Mercedes ML320 CDI and when I went to the dealer he explained to me that Massachusetts (where I plan to move in about a year) does not facilitate ULSD and that you can't find it in stations there anywhere. I currently live in Florida and there are a few stations that do have it, so its not a problem ... Read More

Yes I paid the $775. My invoice was 49,745. TTT = Tax, Tag, Title You are correct, in 2007 model Premium Package 1 did not include the Navigation system which I paid separately for. Your residual value looks to be about 53% - this is pretty low (higher is always better) but probably related to your mileage terms plus end of 2007 year. Also your money factor (tier 1) should be closer to .00205. Ask your sales representative to show you Mercedez Benz Financial's official Lease schedule (if they're honest - they'll show it.) Also, make sure you are negotiating from Invoice price Up, not ... Read More

Hi Jason I ordered through Mercedes Benz of Princeton; not sure they have any more available for order--but imagine they have a couple in inventory. I saw the commercial - it's catchy. I also noticed it shows the new base price - which is totally confusing to people in Florida. why? because the old billboards (for the 01 models)are still everywhere citing a $35,800 base. I got my ML at $35,800 in June with the M1, M7, BOSE, metallic paint, and power sunroof. I wish I had opted for a truck with the M2, however, the ... Read More
