Read your posts in the Toyota Sequoia Forum; 4wd, Toyota, three teenagers the oldest being 6'4", gas guzzler no problem can buy because you can. Boy am I confused. Order a 2013 the way she wants it. Or find a 2009 rear drive only, if indeed they made them. Only saw the rwd reference in the Jeep brochure. Better yet test drive a new loaded wrangler if you can find one ... Read More
mac24 - Interesting thoughts on Cerebus. I had forgotten about that. And the interesting thing is it seems the 2007-2009 models are the worst in terms of mechanical issues I've read about. Though I have read some 2010 models being bad too. The transmission seems to be the monster issue. Which seems insane to me because it's not like a transmission is some new technological device they've added on. Do you ... Read More
I have had the EXACT same problem on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited when trying to manually or remote start (stock remote starter). They replaced the clock spring in steering column and it seemed to be fixed, however it still comes and goes (less frequent). I've also spent anywhere from 1-3 tries to start, to 10-25 tries (and gave up). Even though I parked straight, I tried to "crank the steering ... Read More
I bought a 2009 jeep wrangler unlimited x 4-dr at barton jeep spokane washington in march 2009. For the las 6 months, I have had trouble with the 6 speed manual transmisision magically popping out of gear one to three times a day, Took it bac to the dealer a number of times; they told me that the national jeep data base never showed this occuring before, although the mechanic stated ... Hi, I had the exact same problem on my Sep 2009 purchased Sahara, the dealership changed the transmission stating they had instructions from Chrysler to do so. I have had no problems with the transmission since then ofcourse but there is a strange whirring noise coming from the engine that no dealership is able to hear ( I have been to three). Hope you don't need to change the transmission.
Did you get any fix to this? My 2009 Wrangler has had the same issue. I've had the dealership replace the manual tranny and now the new tranny is doing the same thing. Due to this issue, I've almost got slammed into when I turned left. I've returned into the dealership, they say "we've done all we can" and "not TSB reported on this". I have reported this to Chrysler directly ... Read More
My next car will be a Jeep Wrangler. It's not a car. ;) What are some of the first steps to take to make the wrangler off-road ready? It's already offroad ready, and with all due respect, a lot more so than you probably are or you wouldn't be asking. Much depends on what you want to do and over what type of terrain. Even on fairly mild trails the learning ... Read More
I took a 2009 Jeep Wrangler X 4WD SUV out of the dealership the other day and drove it all around Baltimore. I owned a Jeep Sport from 2000-2003. My next car will be a Jeep Wrangler. I want to get involved in off roading. What are some of the first steps to take to make the wrangler off-road ready? ">link title
Hi- brand new wrangler (owned many jeeps, never a wrangler) only has 500miles and it seems to shift really odd....accelerating onto the highway, it goes up to 6,000RPMs in order to shift and accelerate....at 70mph it noticably shifts and the rpms jump from 2-3....i have never driven a vehicle that shifts at this speed (at least to the point where I notice the rpms shift).....It feels like the pedal is stiff, ... No.. but I have been checking for months since the dealership messed up my order...I ordered the 4 door, 6 speed tranny, Wrangler Sahara Unlimited fully loaded, dual top, nav, etc...after waiting for 4 months, the wrong jeep came in and then I heard about of all the leaks, rust, engine issues, etc.. and as gas prices went to $4, I gave up! Anyway, I have been researching revisions for 2009 ... Read More
Has anyone heard of any revisions for the 2009 Jeep Wrangler/Unlimited? Any unofficially official announcements, rumor, gossip, or BS will satisfy my curiosity. Muchas Gracias.
Well, you have to figure... When the 2009 Jeep Wranglers are released, the 07 models will be considered "old," but the thing is, Jeep dealers will still have BRAND NEW 07 models sitting on their lot. But they will want to get rid of them, so they will have HUGE price cuts. Although there will be good deals, they will go fast. So hurry up when you see sales. Also, tonight ... Read More
Just test drove the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara the other day. I really liked it but I don't know if I am ready to spend $32,000 to get one. Heck, I don't even know if I am even ready to buy an actual new car. Anyone have an opinion on trying to get a left over 2008 when the 2009 comes out? When does that happen? What type of price drop can ... Read More
I agree - take the money and run. Other dealers are out there that would love to have your business. I ordered a 2010 Wrangler Sahara in late July. The dealer commited to invoice + $100. The Jeep is scheduled for delivery next week. Two weeks ago the invoice arrived. It reflected a 2010 at 2009 pricing and they are honoring their commitment of invoice + $100. They told me it ...
