I just completed a buyer's agreement with my local dealership for the 2nd 2010 S4 they will receive and wanted to get everyone's opinion. I'd like to chime in with the following observations and opinions.. - The current S4 shouldn't be compared against the M3..since the RS4 and or S5 are much more appropriate. The S4 compares with the 335i. Yes, 6cyl with tts can be > 8cyl. - The new E92 M3 is less fun (and elegant IMO) than the E46 M3. Especially when comparing the 06 E46 with competition package against the E92 ... Read More

I'd add a few others to your list - the 2009 TL-S will have SH-AWD. Also, the G35x from Infiniti. Finally, for a budget buy, check out a Subaru Legacy GT Limited, or even a spec.B model. If my choices were limited to AWD cars I would also look at the Evo MR as well as the STi. The Spec B is another excellent pick. I found a very clean 2005 ... Read More

Well a couple off the top of my head is the 2009' Cadillac CTS-V, 2008' Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-X, 2008' BMW M3, Acura TL Type-S and/or the new 09' SH-AWD TL, Audi S4 & S6, Mercedes C63 AMG model, Volvo S60R, Lincoln is suppose to come out with a SVT tuned MKZ in a couple of years. Thanks, dhanley. I'd be very excited if it came out within two years. Knowing BMW, it will. However, there are four new models in the mix that will shake the exec. coupe segment up. BMW has always been virtually alone here. G35 coupe wasn't nice enough, CLK was too nice, A4 only came in convertible. New models, in order of introduction: 2008 A5. NO... it definitely will not be at the NY show. Here're the Audis that will: A4 2.0T/3.2 Cabrolet; S4 Cabriolet (new styling) TT Coupe (I saw the pics released- looks awesome) A4 won't be at an auto show until next year... at the earliest. I have a feeling they'll show the 2009 or 2010 A8 next year or the year after that too.
