I should learn from you guys! I have a 2002 A6 with only 56k miles and I am pulling my hair out! Hindsight is great, huh? I still remember the day I chose the A6 over the GS300. Since that decision, I average repair bills over 1500 - 2000 per year. At 49k miles, the torque converter went. Luckily we caught it before it took out my transmission. Just last month ... Read More

Audi A6 Cracked engine coolant leak

I have audi A6 2002. 2 years ago there was an engine problem and I did repair it at the dealer splitting 6000 cost with Audi America. 42 months later Ignition coil light came and I got that repaired for 1800. Problem with Ignition coil surfaced again this time the dealer said it is the gasket and I ended up replacing the Gasket and all cylinders for 3800. Last week white ... Read More

Pieces of the belt flew into the engine causing $2000 worth of damage. With the dealers help Audi covered the expense although technically it was out of warranty. I wouldn't take any chances. As far as the deal, I don't know what the $999 down is about but the $549 a month does not include sales tax, title or registration so that has to be added as well. After a long time ... Read More

Audi Care is $600 that pays for 4/50 maintenace that was free in past. And they will bump the residual 1% to compensate for it, so it esentially pays for itself. There's $2000 Audi Loyalty money on A6's thru March to my knowledge. "facile comparisons of "the Germans" or "the Japanese" just don't hold any more. It would be fascinating to collect stories from owners that have put on the 100,000 miles that I did and compare the Audi driving experience. I'm not sure what your point is here. Talking about the power of BMW's 530i and Audi's A6 3.2 v the competition is very much on topic. I don't think "horses-per-dollar" was ever part of the discussion. All luxury performance sedans will score poorly by that matrix...they're luxury cars.
