2007 Suzuki SX4
THE GOOD: With still just 69000 mi on the odo, after 16 yrs. of ownership, it has been nearly flawless. It's simple & sadly immensely underrated. It was rated 1st as the most fun, slow car to drive fast. The steering was tight & quick with excellent feedback. Slightly wider tires and a rear swaybar has made it a very fun car on the twisties.
THE BAD: Gas mileage was never impressive … ... 28 hwy, 19 city, and 23 overall. I have the manual 5-speed, which is much more responsive than the auto. but still sluggish. Zero to 60 was about 9.3. A K&N filter, a piggyback & a grounding kit, has made it slightly, but noticeably faster.
THE UGLY: The exterior topcoat started peeling in about 2017. The paint now looks terrible. I'm left with the dilemma of either paying an est. $4000 for a re-paint on a 16 yr.old car, but w/only 70,000 mi. or getting rid of it for another car. It's hard for me to drive around in a car that's cosmetics are a bit rough.
