2010 Mercury Grand Marquis
The 1999 - 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis is /was a fantastic car model. A full-size luxury sedan, available with all the bells, whistles and trappings that other luxury car lines brag and boast of. It rides like a dream, all nice and soft just as you might expect. The V-8 power plant has plenty of power to get it moving and enough more to make it fun to drive. It handles as well as many … cars much smaller, in town with traffic or on the highway. It is in fact a road warrior, large, comfy, gadget loaded and counting coup on the miles of roadway daring to layout before it. My last one, a 2002, had nearly 300k miles on it. I have seen a couple of them with over 450k miles on them. The 2010 I just picked up had 45,800 miles when I snapped it up a couple of weeks ago. It should last a good number of years and quite a few thousand miles more for me, as long as I keep up the maintenance. If you can find a well maintained one and are in the market, take it for a test drive. I doubt that you will be unimpressed with it. The sad part is that Mercury, and the Grand Marquis (as well as one of it's sisters the Ford Crown Victoria) is no more, discontinued. Odds are, that I just bought my last Grand Marquis. I hope that I am able to maintain this one.
