Dangerous PHEV failures

2022 Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid
My 2022 Sorento PHEV has now failed 4 times. The failure is that the engine doesn't start while driving when the EV battery charge becomes too low to run the vehicle. Each time it happened was very dangerous. Once was in 4 lanes of dense NYC traffic, another was in a remote rural area and the other two times were at highway speeds on 3 and 4 lane NYC highways. My dealer found no fault … codes, said they've never heard of this problem before and told me there is nothing they can do.
The KIA warranty is a big reason why I purchased this Sorento but that warranty hasn't been worth a plug nickle thus far. I heavily advise against buying this very expensive, dangerous and unreliable vehicle.
