2025 Ford F-150 Lightning
I formerly owned an 2005 F150. Had to get rid of it years ago because I drove too many miles for it to make sense. I have missed that truck since then.
Fast forward to last month. I realized the tax credit was ending soon, so I thought I’d test drive the lightning. Did not intend to buy it.
I noticed immediately that this truck appears to be an f150…as opposed to one of the many odd … looking EVs out there. That part is why I wanted to test drive it in the first place. The part I didn’t expect was how this truck drives. It is smooth and silent. Drives better than my wife’s Mercedes GLC. It also has all the tech that you’ll ever need.
The really unexpected part was when I punched it. Good grief is this truck fast!!! This is roller coaster fast. It is unnatural for a truck this size to be this fast.
In short, if you like the normal F150 but would prefer one that rides way better, is way faster, and has much better tech, then buy this truck.
Last thing, this is my first EV. I was pretty nervous about how I’d keep it charged. I was wrong to worry about that. When you come home, plug it in. Then it’s fully charged every day. Like have a gas station at your house. Nothing to it.
