2020 Cadillac CT5
This is a beautifully designed car, especially the exterior. The interior is reasonably well designed and comfortable but I would have expected a bit more refinement in a luxury
sedan. The discontinued CT6 had a better interior. The car has most of the technology one would want except for the adaptive cruise control option which was already available on my 2014 Mercedes S-Class, so … Cadillac really should have been offering it by 2020. The heads up display is erratic. I have already had the dealer replaced the cable one time, and the problem nevertheless persists, with the display disappearing from time to time for no particular reason. The car rides and handles well, in fact it handles very well. The 2.0 turbocharged engine is clearly underpowered for this car. It is a bit sluggish getting from 0 to 30 mph but once one is at or above 60 mph the car rides very well and can easily accelerate beyond that level and hold the road at speeds greater than 75 mph. This is definitely not your father's Cadillac, no land yacht. I think it can be compared to a Mercedes C-Class or BMW 3 series fitted with a comparable engine.
