DO NOT BUY A 2024 TOYOTA GRAND HIGHLANDER!!!! I should've known from the moment I walked in and overheard a sales representative bragging about marking a car up 10 thousand more than the msrp that they do not care about their customers. We recently bought a brand new 2024 limited toyota grand highlander and not even a week of owning the brand new car the check engine light turned on and all the warning messages popped up so we took it into north park toyota service center only to find out multiple grand highlanders have been brought in with the same issue. Not only does Toyota not know how to fix the issue, our car is undriveable. We brought the car into the service center with only 350 miles on it and half of that was driving to the dealership 50 minutes away from us several times due to multiple paperwork issues on Toyota's end. Now I now longer feel safe driving my 2 kids in that car due to the serious mechanical issue and I wanted the car replaced. According to Toyota they'd buy the car as a used car and replace it at a lower value than what we bought the car at a week ago because per Manger "we have to make a profit off of it". So not only did Toyota screw us over by giving us a [non-permissible content removed] car, now they're trying to screw more money out of us. Since the 2024 grand highlander is such a new car there's not many reviews out on it but avoid this car and north park toyota like the plague and it'll save you money and headaches down the road.

Love my 2024 Grand Highlander Platinum but some improvements would be nice. Needs: -Center console needs to be insulated. In the winter, I can feel the cold air wafting off the sides chilling my legs. Also had lotion and other liquids freeze in there during overnight lows (even in a garage)! -Front ventilation ducts do not aim down very far. Makes warming upper legs from cold draft off console difficult. Need a blanket in the cold winters. Wants: -Better front seat lumbar support. Driver seat only goes in and out. Adding up and down would be nice. Passenger doesn’t have it at all. -Get rid of the plastic latches on the second row captains seats. Bring back the metal glide rod for back and forward and the lever for seat back forward/recline. -Headlights. Currently very narrow for a larger vehicle and tend not to go up very far limiting overall view and visibility. -Corner turning lights (for platinum at a minimum). Headlights are narrow and do not illuminate the side of the road when turning. -Bring back the split Home Screen option on the Multimedia console and allow it to be customizable. -Charging pad is too slow and a waste of space. With all the charging points available in the grand highlander, you can just get rid of it. -Figure out how to allow front seats to go down lower to the floor. Finding all my tall passengers have a really hard time getting in without having to duck pretty significantly. Things I love: -Cab is quiet -Spacious -Very easy to drive -Turns well despite its size -Second row caption chairs

We purchased a 2024 Grand Highlander from Envision Toyota in Norwalk. Like many other reviewed on this page, we also got bunch of light in the dashboard after owning it 3 weeks, engine, collision system etc. Turns out “foreign mass” was found in the engine and the catalytic converter had to be replaced. Got it back then a week and a half later, collision lights turned on again. Not to mentioned there is a recall and Toyota is no longer selling these vehicles… Horrible experience, horrible customer service..

Traded my 2019 Highlander for the Grand Highlander XLE. I am a long time Toyota customer and have owner several Highlanders. Did not care for the 2020 Highlander redesign and waited for the GH…I’m in sales and pre-Covid was piling on the miles, usually replacing every 3 years. Toyotas-particularly the Highlander-have great unmatched resale value. The 2019 was an outstanding car. Anyone looking knows the GH is tough to find and most are sold at MSRP. I wanted a black XLE and was going to wait list through my dealer. I test drove the new CX-90–and really liked that—enough to negotiate a deal on one—-it’s an outstanding vehicle—motor is fantastic, but have not seen any on the road. I had made a deal on a CX-90(surprised my wife that I would consider anything other than a Toyota) and was on my way to complete the great deal that I negotiated; but stopped at another Toyota dealer along the way to the Mazda dealer. Minimal new Toyotas were on their lot. I walk into the showroom and they had just put out my car. Salesman came up to me and I asked if it was sold. Explained I was on my way to buy a CX-90 but this was the GH I was looking for. Told him I had my title and check book, extra set of keys for mine and wanted to deal on this one. Asked them to match the best trade in value the I received (CarMax gave me the highest number). After back and forth, got the price I wanted and a discount off MSRP. The GH was $4k more than the Mazda, but will easily recoup when I sell. The Mazda performance is great, but my concern was resale, which won’t be on par with Toyota, plus, unless you buy the top trim, there is no XM radio(a feature that I want) The GH is very comfortable-probably the best seats I have had. Styling is nice if a bit bland. The 2.4 turbo has similar acceleration to the old V6, but the sound reminds you it’s a turbo 4. Around town, the engine is quiet and performs fine. Fuel economy has been similar to the old V6. It’s very quiet inside, with thick carpet and acoustic glass on all windows. The XLE sound system is fantastic. Like that the passenger seat is full 6 way power. Cargo and third row are huge—this is almost a full sizer. If you are looking at the Pilot or CX-90, or even the Lexus RX or upcoming TX(which is a rebadged Grand Highlander) look at the GH if you can find one. I expect this one will be just as excellent as my other Highlanders and I’m very happy with the purchase so far @ 1,100 miles.

Not even 1 months and I take my grand highlander to the shop for water leak and now is 7 months and 3 times to the shop all ready they don’t know how to fix it is a nightmare is a expensive car .not happy with Toyota anymore
