Used 2022 Ram ProMaster City Consumer Reviews
WORST VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED!
This vehicle has excessive oil consumption. The engine was recalled on this vehicle year. The dealership claims it's my fault for not maintaining the vehicle (i.e. checking oil every 1,000 miles). I purchased this vehicle new in 2019. As of this review its leas than 2 years old and has less than 21,000 miles. First and last Ram purchase. UPDATE: Total Mileage 43,000: Since my first review, Chrysler recalled the engine on this vehicle. The engine was replaced replaced. Now the engine light clicks on and off. The dealership can't seem to figure it out. The battery died in less than 2 years. ALL the door hinges FAILED and were replaced. The A/C failed after several hours. It was recharged. It has failed again in less than a year. The front and rear suspension FAILED and cost over $3,800 to fix / replace. JUNK! DO NOT BUY!

Good concept with poor execution
City vans are a great idea for companies that don't need full size vans for their deliveries. However, for them to be useful they need to be reliable and this vehicle is not. I work for a large healthcare company and all of our branches are experiencing the same problems. Bad coils, transmission failures, and excessive oil consumption problems. FCA makes some attractive products but they have always had reliability issues no matter who owns them. Why is this acceptable to them?

Poor Mechanical Quality
I purchased a 2017 Ram Procity Master, that was one year old from dealership, with 2500 miles. I am a contractor who was looking for a more economical vehicle. It has been a little over a year and 23,000 miles put on. Figured out engine consumes at minimum a quart of oil every 3500 miles and they say it is in spec...BS no new motor should consume oil...now figured out underneath passenger seat everytime it rains the padding gets soaking wet and dealer cannot figure out how water is getting in. On top of that seat is wearing where you normally sit and they will not cover repair...save your and do not buy a Chrysler product, it is junk...

I love my new Ram Promaster City van!
This is a very well engineered vehicle. I am a 45 year builder and mechanic and have wrenched on them for about the same amount of time. Of the hand full of new vehicles purchased in my life this vehicle surpasses any I have owned or operated. I have fully read the full Edmonds review and they don't compare engineering quality , torque with the 9 speed trans, and economy combined with previous years models and makes! Every thing works and have no quality issues with the Dealership that sold me my vehicle. My sales person Eric Schram at Pinckney Chrysler got me a smoking hot deal so fast and straight up I was in utter shock. He laid out their offer and financing on my trade in deal so simple, how pleased can you be? My current lender wasn't even able to match their timming and opportunity. Thank you all very much!

Hell on wheels
If I can do one good deed before I die it would be to warn anyone and everyone away from this horrible, expensive piece of garbage. The transmission terrifyingly clunky even when fully functional, and everything breaks every few months. Sometimes, several times a month. There’s always a new leak or break to be fixed and the fixes range from $500-$5000. For the cost of this rolling dumpster you could have several decent vehicles. Bonus points for no tow truck companies wanting to tow this so god help you if you need a tow, which you will, because this is the worst vehicle ever manufactured
