45,000 miles and going strong. The only repairs that have done are to fix a fender bender. front brake pads, and have dealer replace the door molding on one door. Its just got a second set of tires this fall. I like this car. It does everything well. 3.5l (man I hope that didn't die with Olds) is a great engine and the max torque occures below 5000 rpm. The larger brakes were an option, I should have got them. They should have been standard. That is my only quibble with this car. Wind noise? I discovered this a long time ago.. wipe the door seals every other oil change with a seal lubricant. Does wonders.

This is fine car. GM put together a capable auto that can carry 5 passengers comfortably. The V6 (derived from Cadillacs Northstar V8) manages every driving condition with ease. It manages to do this on 87 octane (reguar) gas while its competitors require premium gas. The car provides the same fuel efficiency as its competitors as well. No problems to report with this car at nearly 60000 miles.

I have owned sports cars, luxury sedans, performance vehicles, wagons, pickups, vans and economy cars, but no car I have ever owned has ever given me any more pleasure to drive. The old V6 is bulletproof, the autobahn handling package is superb. Best all around car I ever owned.

I purchased this vehicle July 2004, and it has been a great vehicle. I purchased the vehicle with 73,000 miles on it, and it now has over 170,000 miles on it. The only problems I have had were with the brakes, because of exposure to the elements. Besides this I have had no problems. I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil, so tried to maintain it. Word of advice when you need to replace oxygen sensor do so immediately otherwise you may have to pay in the long run. I did not change mine for almost a year and it made other problems arise, but not till now, so I think this has been a great vehicle. If you find one used purchase it as soon as possible.

After 8 years with my Intrigue, I am sad to say goodbye to it, but must due to the increasing repairs I have to make to it. At 40,000 miles, I had sensor issues. At 60,000 miles, I had all hub bearings go out. Now at 130,000 miles I have had alternator, a/c and more sensor issues, a broken fuel gauge, engine mounts replaced, and now a coolant leak that will cost $1000 to fix simply because of the cost of parts for this car and the difficult accessibility to certain areas. I adore the horsepower and performance of the car, but just can't keep up with $4000/year in maintenance costs.
