Still driving her after 7 yrs, I bought her with 33,000 miles and she is still running after 137,000. I give her regular oil changes, & normal wear & tear, brakes, rotors, & struts. When she reached 120,000 after her tune up she started to need a little more work done. In the past year I've replaced the fuel filter, oil pan, battery, both (R)and(L) cv joints. Which I didn't need to replace. I had a clicking noise when I would turned (R) only, so after the 5 mechanic it ended up being my starter, the spring in the starter wasn't sitting right so every time I turned (R) it would hit the fly wheel. I just did my own brakes & rotors this time. So shes ready to go for another 100,000.

Sure, I've had to replace the crankcase sensor and a couple of front wheel hubs, but I've really gotten my money's worth from my Intrigue. Now at 100K miles (bought new) and that includes plenty of severe service of driving for less than 1 mile, the car drives "almost" like new. Will change the spark plugs for the first time in a few weeks. I have maintained the vehicle reasonably well, probably better than most people. Plan on keeping it for several more years since its fuel economy is outstanding given its performance, everything on the car works, and its body styling only gets better with age. I'm very glad I bought it.

Not sure why GM is ending Olds

I have a little over 40,000 miles now and from an engine standpoint the car runs great. Little problems from that standpoint. The goodies have broken more than once such as the A/C Sensor for automatic climate control and a sensor for the Traction system. Windows stop working once in a while... typical GM problem w/4 door cars. Had his on my LeSabre as well. Car handles well, doesn't have as much 'get up and go' as it did at 20,000 miles. Overall a great purchase for the bucks.

I have a '99 GLS with the 3.5L V6. It handles well, and jumps from 55 to 85 very (too) easily. My biggest complaint is quality of the components. I've had nagging minor problems (door trim, uneven fit in interior), more serious mechanical defects (warping brake rotors, crank shaft sensor), and major mechanical breakdowns (power steering went out, rack replaced 3 times). Without those issues, I'd love the car.

I purchased this vehicle July 2004, and it has been a great vehicle. I purchased the vehicle with 73,000 miles on it, and it now has over 170,000 miles on it. The only problems I have had were with the brakes, because of exposure to the elements. Besides this I have had no problems. I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil, so tried to maintain it. Word of advice when you need to replace oxygen sensor do so immediately otherwise you may have to pay in the long run. I did not change mine for almost a year and it made other problems arise, but not till now, so I think this has been a great vehicle. If you find one used purchase it as soon as possible.
