2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid Consumer Reviews

My first KIA ❤️
I do my homework and read many reviews before I test drive. I have had 2 HONDA CR-V, and my last car was Toyota Venza Hybrid, which I liked. The Honda CR-V hybrid and KIA Sportage hybrid, earned the top two spots, in reviews. I test drove the 2025 Honda CR-V hybrid and found it to have less features than my Venza, sluggish, and cost more. Then I test drove the 2025 KIA Sportage Hybrid SX-PRESTIGE. Hands down, this was a much smoother ride, came loaded with incredible features, had much more space than the Venza, and seemed as roomy as the CR-V. I bought the KIA for $3,000 less than the Honda I came with far more features. I LOVE this car. I’ve had it for three months, and every person who rides in it is impressed by the ride, looks, features, and mileage that I get. I’m looking forward to trying it in the VT winter snow. If it does well, I’m pretty sure I’ll stick with the KIA Sportage, when I trade in three years. If you are looking for a great car with an amazing warranty, test drive the KIA Sportage Hybrid.

awesome ride
picked up vehicle out of state and drove it about 500 miles and it was great-- dislike is the dashboard grill right in the center reflects into the windshield and is not a clear view out-- everything from color choice and price -- disappointed that it did not come with a security screen that pulls to cover the back storage area -- have to purchase after market ... the dashboard was nice for navigating and information screen -- the screen does get dirty from finger prints which is annoying as well as the black shiny console -- love the ride and good choice for me

EPA Mileage Estimates are Overly Optimistic
I bought a new 2024 all wheel drive Sportage Hybrid a few months ago. While it's been a good car overall, the EPA mileage estimates of 38 MPG city/38 MPG highway are highly optimistic. I drive conservatively, and the real world gas mileage my Sportage gets is more like 32 to 34 MPG for both city and highway driving. The only other minor complaint I have is that the combined climate control/infotainment system is non-intuitive and confusing to use, as mentioned in the Edmunds article.

Very Impressive Car
My wife and I are loyal to Audi but a situation arose where we needed to purchase a car for our secondary residence. We didn’t want to spend the money for a nice Audi and I’ve read impressive things about the Hybrid Sportage. I was completely sold after test driving it. We also tried Lexus, Mazda and Honda. Kia was the clear winner. Smooth, responsive acceleration and braking; solid steering, comfortable seats, very smooth ride, nice interior. The car feels very solid yet it’s very maneuverable. Well done Kia!

Love the car better than the more expensive cars.
The car drives great. Plenty of pick up, really quiet, and comfortable. No problems yet and have 16,000 miles. I have the matte grey car. Looks great but can’t take to a car wash unless touchless. Love the lane centering, just love the whole car.
