Base Fit = Great value

Got the base Fit because the only feature I really wanted on the Sport was cruise control, and that wasn't worth the extra price. Keyless can be added by buying the transmitter keys online, and I negotiated with my dealer to do the key cutting and programming for free. If you're thinking Base versus Sport, the Base model rides a bit smoother and gets a bit better mileage, while the Sport is definitely "sportier" and it does have a lot of nice add-ons that you may or may not place a great value on. The Base also has a lighter color interior that you may or may not prefer over the Sport.

This is an ideal subcompact with a high fun to drive factor and great fuel economy (even though it is a bit pricey with navi).

Great mini-car!

Purchased the Fit 1 month ago today. Have since traveled 1500 fun loving miles. It has taken awhile to get used to some quirks (rear suspension, higher center of gravity), but am glad went with decision to buy. It's hard to believe the Fit is Honda's new "entry level" - there are many items standard which were upgrades, or not available, on prior car (2000 Civic LX). Looking forward to many years of ownership.

2 weeks and 1K miles later, we love the car. 34 mpg first tank and better thereafter, to almost 40. Very smooth, peppy, and comfortable. Surprisingly roomy, but we're keeping our Sienna.

Just before my daughter returned from Afghanistan I bought her a Fit Sport with Navigation. I liked it so well, I bought one for myself. Hers is Blue Pearl and mine is Black Pearl. Hers has some optional goodies such as center armrest, sport grill, all weather floor mats, door sill plates and rear bumper applique. She also added an aftermarket remote start system. I just opted for the arm rest and floor mats.
