Ford does not back its products
We uses vans in our business for delivery and also service vans. When I started my business I purchased a Ford Cargo Van had engine problems. I have never had a problem free Ford Van in the 23 years i have been in business. THIS TRANSIT 250 takes the cake and FORD DOES not back its products. Brake issues expensive repairs. The worst is the ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS THAT ROTTED/ SHORTED OUT AFTER 2 YEARS. There is a recall on it but FORD and its dealer state the our van does not have the Trailer Tow option so it does not come under that recall. We experienced the same symptoms dash board goes out to lunch and other electrical failures. Recall notice 17S34-S1 says that Ford will repair the harness, install a fuse and drill a hole for drainage in the drivers door stepwell to fix the problem. The dealer and FORD Motor Company denied the claim and refused to install the complete recall they charged me for the repair instead. After multiple phone calls and speaking to there customer relations dept. in the Philippines they would only refund half the repair and not install the recall. I had problems with vehicles that i have owned over the years and the manufacturer has always help the customer out. FORD has never backed there product its always a fight. From there problem Diesel engines and so on. I regard buying another FORD I guess I will never learn.

350 transit passenger xlt 148
certainly lots of space, plenty of cubbies in front cab area. rear view camera is tiny and not worth the upgrade. rear sliding passenger door is extremely difficult to close, weak latching, very difficult to open. it may be due to its size, but a strong person will still have a hard time. get a base model and add a radio, rear camera, speakers. when turned up heating and cooling for the rear is loud, unable to raise radio loud enough to hear over it. there are no options for snow or studded snow tires. I would avoid this vehicle in any place with snow due to this significantly poorly designed suspension to support the small 235/65 r16 118 load capacity tires in a 9500 gvwr vehicle. there have been 3 recalls , i know its more than 13,000 miles, but I've been in the shop for more than 23 hours!

FOUND ON ROAD DEAD
DO NOT BUY THIS VAN!!!!!!! Biggest piece of junk i have ever wasted my money on. 2016 Ford Transit 250 3.2 liter Diesel. 3,000 miles had the first of many problems. #1. DEF fluid sensor replaced. #2. Door trim falling off all over Van. #3. Brakes, back ones at 8,500 miles then front at 15,000 miles. with a total of 48,000 miles on Van i've had 3 sets of front and back brakes so far. #4. Van is burning Radiator fluid like crazy. #5. Today it overheated for the first time and i'm pretty sure the motor is trashed. Do not ever and i mean ever buy a new diesel van or Vehicle that needs DEF fluid, doesn't matter if its Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Mercedes, or Sprinter.

What a joke
Rented one of these for a bit for work to use for deliveries, so I can't comment on the reliability, but I can't imagine it's good based on the apparent build quality of this van. The power/ handling was fine, but traction in rain / on gravel was terrible. The build quality seemed to be very poor - the outside is covered in plastic trim that is going to fade and look like crap in 2 years. The seats are like driving from a bar stood - very uncomfortable, the steering column doesn't adjust to a comfortable position, there is very little foot room for the driver's left leg, and I constantly banged my knees on the column climbing in and out. They were too cheap to put an armrest on the passenger seat, and too cheap to put a grab handle on the driver side A pillar. The interior handle for the doors is small - you can't grab it with gloves on. The pull to close the door is balanced wrong (too close to the hinges), so it takes extra effort to close the door. The left driver armrest is slanted downward, so it's useless. Parking brake is on the floor between the seats - why is it taking up cargo area instead of being a 3rd pedal? Shifter is awkwardly placed and blocks the climate control and radio. Only half the front windows open - why??? Rear door hinges and magnets didn't seem strong enough to keep the door open in a gust of wind. Differential and axle had rust on them at 4500 miles. the latches for the rear door have spikes that you can hit your head on climbing in and out. It looks to me light they cut every corner they could on this van to save money.
