Faulty Convirtible Top

2023 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium 2dr Convertible (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 6M)
I special ordered a 2023 Ecoboost Premium in Mischevious Purple. The top on my BRAND NEW car is faulty. It goes down fine, but when it comes back up, it will not latch. The top stops short about two inches from the frame. I found out that Ford knew that this is an issue with the tops on this model, but continued to sell them. I have taken the car back to the dealership, but I was told … that the engineers at Ford do not intend to begin to attempt to find a solution and fix for the problem until the SECOND QUARTER of this year. In the meantime, I cannot use my car as intended;to ride around with the top down. The car NEVER should have left Flat Rock in this condition!!!! I am extremely disappointed. I waited 4 months for my car only to get it with a faulty top. I am so disappointed with Ford and the lack of quality in their vehicles!! They have until June 30 to fix my car. If the top is not repaired by then, I will have no choice but to invoke my state's Lemon Law and return the vehicle to the dealership.
