Used 1999 Chrysler 300M Consumer Reviews
Oil pan blues
I loved my car but every day that I go with out a new oil pan, cause Chrysler can't seem to make any cause I'm number 500 plus people looking for one. So what do I do just drive around with a leaking oil pan plug, get oil all over my nice car, and then someday it leave me on the side of the road cause I can't get a flipping oil pan come on Chrysler give me a break I work hard for a living I don't need this worry on back of my mind when I'm going on a road trip. See I use this car for my weekends and road trips it parked during the week. Every time I have the dealer change my oil I worry down the road... I have the oil pan blues
300M after 3 years
OK, so I'm ashamed to admit it but, I leased this car, and proceeded to put 70,000 miles on it in 3 years. The car has been in the shop twice, once for front stableizer, once for a speed sensor. Neither was a major deal, and I was told both are a common problem. Two issues with build quality: driver side door doesn't seal 100% so some wind noise, and engine makes tappit when first starting. Otherwise a very nice car, comfortable, stylish, poweful, and for the most part reliable.

Chrysler's Baaaack!!!
I evaluated 6 other autos before catching wind of Motor Trend's '99 Car of the Year- I'll own the 300M series until they stop making them once again!
Great Car
Bought it new when it first appeared, and I never buy a new model, but fell in love with the looks and performance. Like the drive and the features, especially the heated seats in these North Dakota winters. Did have to replace a couple of sensors under warrenty, but no other problems and the gas mileage is great.
Great car but quirky
My 99' 300M has been pretty good so far. I've had my door window motor replaced and there's a distinct creaking in the front end, which goes away after the dealer lubes it but it returns within weeks. I've had a lot of problems with front end shaking while braking from highway speeds and have had the brakes and rotors done with no change in the problem. I strongely suggest a nose bra for you highway drivers like me. I love the power and the upgraded stereo was worth the extra money. The gas mileage has been better than expected for a large car and I've been averaging around 23mpg. I only run 93 octane as the engine knocks at 89 and 87.
