It is a Beast

Took delivery of the beast 5 weeks ago. Every inch of the Canyon Red Truck screams move it or lose it. The engine is smooth, strong and pulled 15K pounds like it was a kids toy back there. Just used to pull two stumps, they didn't stand a chance. Really needs a sunglass holder in the console and bigger cup holders as these tiny things really suck.

Purchased the newly designed 2020 2500 HD with the Dura Max Allison diesel and off-road package in May So far very pleased with the performance as it has excellent power towing a 8000 pound trailer The 15 camera technology is fantastic for tight maneuvering and parking taking the guess work out of the equation Fuel economy seems to be around 14 around town and up to 21 on the highway when in a no load situation When pulling the 8000 lbs trailer it averages around 11.5 on the open road on a typical 900 mile trip to Idaho or Wyoming from California I have around 7000 miles of towing on the truck so far and the performance has been flawless with no issues knock on wood. As is typical on most similar size trucks it burns very little DEF around town with no load Our 2000 mile round trips with the trailer we burned about 10 - 12 gals for the trip Interior is very well insulated so very little diesel noise and off the line pickup is excellent even with the trailer Overall very pleased with the power and ride with excellent looking lines compared to its competition in my humble opinion.

DEF Hog

Purchased a 2020 Chevy HD2500 Duramax in Oct. 2019. Started a trip to California in mid Nov. towing 11,000 lb travel trailer. Used approximately 24 gallon of DEF for the round trip. Calculated was using a gallon of DEF every 135 miles or 7%. Usage seems excessive. Traveled I40 going out and I10 on return trip. Can't wait to see what the usage will be when I start across the Rockies this summer. Dealership and GM TAC says this is normal.

2500 LEMON

Bought a 2020 silverado 2500 LTZ in January 2020 and had nothing but problems, tail gate wouldn't lift took 3 trips to the dealership and they finally replaced the tailgate. Brakes started squeaking at about 200 miles and haven't stopped yet almost 17000 miles, had the recall done had brakes replaced and still nothing total of 6+ trips to the dealership for brakes. Dealership and GM says its normal brake noise, you can hear my truck brake 3 blocks away. Waiting for last response to determine whether its lemon law issue or just trade it it. Garbage truck, traded a 2016 1500 in for it that had the Chevy shake. If GM doesn't make it right, I am through with them.
