Love my 2005 impala
This car rides like dream, and mileage is outstanding at 24 city, 28 combined, 34 highway. The dash guage setup is great and easy to read. The stereo system is 200 watt with awesome sound. Interior room is also great. Leg room is more than ample, and i am 6ft.8in tall. The impala is an allround great car.
Love it!
I bought my 2005 Impala as a pre-owned vehicle in 2019. My decision was based on ownership of a 2003 Impala that we still have! Just like the '03, the car is incredibly dependable, great on gas, roomy, and a pleasure to drive on the highway. Overall cost of ownership remains very low. I basically stick to routine maintenance and fill the tank. I purchased this one with 74K on the odometer and it now has 111K. Had it not been for the pandemic, I guarantee that the odometer would be much higher. As for the comments about "cheap plastic interior," I like it. Think about it...door panels and dash get very dirty and even stained. With this car, a little cleaner with a cloth and any dirt just wipes away. This is what appealed to us when we bought our 03' so many years ago when the children were still in car seats. The oldest is now driving both Impalas!

Comfort and Reliability!
This car is honestly the best vehicle I have ever owned. I purchased it in mid-2009 with 52,000 miles on it and it now has 95,000 miles. The only problem I have had thus far was with the instrument panel, but that was fixed under warranty. It has been 100% reliable, always starts, always runs well. I have run full synthetic oil in it since day 1. I have taken this car on several long trips and it is super comfy and has gotten 31 mpg driving at 75 mph. The power is substantial, but I will opt for the 3.8 next time around. Overall this car is hard to beat. Power, comfort, reliability, and great gas mileage for a huge car! A+
2005 Impala SS
I recently purchased this car. I love the ride, the style, and the performance. It has around 70,000 miles, and no rattles or squeaks! And while I've had it only a short time (just over a month), I was quite surprised by the low fuel economy. Even while staying off the boost, the MPG is still pretty lousy. I had a 3.8 in a 97 Pontiac GP, and got much, much better mileage. But I guess thats the price one pays for performance! Other than the mileage, no problems at all!
Be careful
I recently got a 2005 impala with 118,000 miles for 7,300 dollars. At first it ran well but once i bought and i turned it on in the morning and tried to leave i couldn't i had to wait for it warm up. when its cold it wouldn't run so if you're planning to buy an impala make sure it runs when it's cold. other than that it's a great car to have and go out with.
