Used 2006 Chevrolet HHR Consumer Reviews
Wonderful little vehicle
I've had the HHR for about a week now. I love it. Had looked at PT Cruisers, but this vehicle is beautiful. First saw her on the internet and thought it was cute. That didn't do the HHR justice. When you actually see it your heart goes thump thump. So many of my friends and family that see it automatically say they want one too. It's fun to drive and like everyone else has said it sure does turn a lot of heads. There are just so many extra things such as the remote start, controls for the radio on steering wheel, sun roof, etc. etc. I Love It I Love It I Love It!!!!!
Chevy hits a home run
This is the best new car I have ever owned, it is basically flawless The only flaw being the cupholder location. Other than that it is a sensible family car with room for five and their luggage also. This is as if they brought back the station wagon in a new and compact package. Has plenty of power and have been gitting 28 MPG around town with automatic transmission.
Great basic model
I bought this car after testing a Matrix. The HHR felt like a much better car. My only option is automatic tranny, but it comes with so much standard stuff that I am very pleased. I love the information center and the mp3 plug-in feuture. I drive 50 miles each way to school 3 times a week and I find the car extremely comfortable and I really appreciate the gas mileage, it's awesome. It's great for the money, I feel like I'm driving a far more expensive car. It fits my wife, 2 kids, and all the gear (strollers and such.) What else can I say? If you're considering one, I'd highly recommend it.
Wind / Road Noise
My car gets 20 mpg in town driving and 30 mpg highway. I have had it 6 months. It accelerates quickly enough to get on freeways safely. The heated seats need to be re-designed so more of the seating surface gets warm. The only complaint I have is about wind & road noise, especially at highway speeds, the noise sounds like a window is not completely shut, especially on passenger side, between the front & rear door. This appears to be the result of a design flaw. There is only one rubber seal around the front doors, & if there were two, like on the rear doors, I think the problem would not exist.
Must be good
They sell fast, that should tell you that the public likes the HHR. I find it very comfortable and very quiet on the road. Moves out when you need to. Way above what I expected from a small car.
