More love than hate

2019 Buick Regal Sportback GS 4dr Hatchback AWD (3.6L 6cyl 9A)
Buick imported a great German sedan. Ours is loaded with every option, too bad that they gave up on these cars before they were was perfected.
With 23,000 miles under our belt, I can honestly say that the 2019 Regal GS is one of the best cars I've ever driven. The all wheel drive and dual clutch rear axle provide balance and tremendous cornering ability, rivaling my twitchy 2007 … Corvette. The high tech features are fantastic.
The HUD failed so it was replaced. The sunroof whistled so it was replaced and that fixed the problem. It took a while to get the parts however.
The paint was mismatched and has some dirt specs. After a year going back and forth with GM, the dealer sent me a $1000 check for the cost of the tricoat pearl upgrade. I'm satisfied with that and will take care of cutting and buffing it myself.
It's a shame that GM gave up the market for sedans, as historically they owned it.
I've grown to accept the start stop feature, the cheap non-sliding sunvisors, the manual sunroof cover, the lack of remote rear hatch release, and the persnickety seat position recall and poorly positioned switches for the seat adjustment and OH consul push buttons.
We recently drove from Chicago to Virginia, and I drove both ways. It was 10 to 12 hours each way with stops. The car was perfect on the highway averaging 30 plus mpg along with great handling and comfortable ride. The adaptive cruise control eases the strain of a long trip. The seat adjustment and built in back massage allows you to remain comfortable after long periods, even for a guy such as me, having had 6 major back surgeries
I'm confident that had Buick advertised they'd have sold more, and continued to improve this car. I would buy another one if that were the case, and had they sold sedans. I'm horrified that GM simply waved the white flag on sedans and is ramming SUVs down our collective throats.
