Edmunds' Inside Line Wins Motor Press Guild's Audio/Visual and Photography Awards
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — December 5, 2008 — Each year the Motor Press Guild, America's largest professional automotive media association, presents its Best of the Year Awards for excellence in automotive journalism. Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, is pleased to announce that Edmunds.com Video Producer Glenn McClanan and Edmunds.com Senior Photographer Scott Jacobs have won the organization's audio/visual and photography awards for pieces appearing on Edmunds' Inside Line during 2008.
McClanan's winning video, winning photograph of the 2008 BMW M3 is a sunset shot of the car with a crisp water reflection in the foreground. The Photography Award judges wrote the following about the image: "Great background and the reflection of the car makes the photo jump off the page. Nice balance of ambient and incandescent lighting, as well as the juxtaposition of the car with the edgy background. The photo has a very good 'first look' impact."
"Glenn and Scott are among the most talented producers and photographers in the automotive industry," said Scott Oldham, Editor-in-Chief of Inside Line. "I am proud of their accomplishments, and it's great to see they are getting the recognition they deserve."
The Los Angeles-based Motor Press Guild (MPG) is a non-profit professional association dedicated to promoting education and information exchange within the motoring press. The Motor Press Guild's Best of the Year Awards serve to inspire automotive journalists, both present and future, to produce work of the highest professional caliber.
