Can anyone give me some insight on a 2005 or 2006 GX 470? I am contemplating buying a used one with about 25,000 miles. Just wanted to know what kind of maintenance and problems owners have experienced. Thanks.
Since October my 2006 GX has had the brakes go out on three different times. First was after a service and service department said must have been an air bubble so they bled them, told me that took care of the problem. A month later ,again in a emergency situation, they failed again almost causing a second collision. This time it was suppose to be the master and slave cylinders which they replace ... Read More
I'm looking to purchase a 2007 GX 470 in black with with Nav, 3rd row and spoiler only. Best price so far is $47k. Anyone seeing better prices? I considered looking at used GX's but 2006 wholesale prices are around $40k - so it is better to buy new in this case. Also, considering the 2007 BMW X5 - but leaning more towards the Lexus.
Hey JD. Lexus' "December to Remember" event officially began on November 14th. Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 GX 470 with entertainment and navigation and 15,000 miles per year are .00225 and 54%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its Tier 1+ credit tier. This truck's 12,000 mile per year residual value would be 2% higher. The ... Read More
Hi shepali. I am in the market for a sporty & reliable SUV. I have test driven a. Cayenne - Great to ride, but expensive and small b. Land Rover - My favorite - but the forums scare me .. with the reliability issues. It seems like it is a Love/Hate thing. c. Infiniti FX 45 - Great ride, but seems small like the Cayenne .. especially the 2nd row seats. The shape ... Read More
Hi xhristina. I would be happy to give you my opinion of this deal, however it would be easier for me to do so if you would provide me with this truck's full MSRP first. You can either ask the dealer for this number, or look up the MSRP of this truck exactly as you want it equipped by visiting the following section of this site: Edmunds.com - New Vehicle Pricing. ... My 2006 GX 470 is completely loaded too....just got it about a month ago. Lexus Link etc. The DVD system is not something I really cared about since my kids are in college now and not as likely to watch it in the backseat but since it was there i have it. I wonder how much longer into 2006 they will keep having them available till the 2007 comes out. What ... Read More
Hi I'm waiting on my 2006 GX470 it should be in this Monday or Tuesday. In the 2006 I'm already getting the Mark Levinson® DVD Premium Audio System • Available upgraded Nav. system (fifth generation) with Bluetooth®, voice activation and rear back-up camera Maybe it's because it's a late 2006. I'm not sure of the others. All I know is this is as loaded as one can get including the lexus ... Read More
http://www.lexus.com/lexusConfigApp/pub/setStartOptions.do lets you choose GX 470, then you can pick either 2006 or 2007. A couple things I noticed in my comparison (zip is in South Florida; Note, the Sport Package is still not offered in my area but the black wood trim seems to be available now without the Sport package for some colors): 1) No MSRP increase (still $46,635 + 695 destination) 2) In my area, there are now ... I just downsized from a 2000 Lexus 470LX down to the GX 470. Brand new 2006. It's only been a few weeks and as I love the New SUV I have to say I do see quite a difference from the LX. The LX has a much smoother ride and I liked the feeling of sitting up higher.
A Lexus is in no way in the same relm of a Lincoln Navigator. A Lincoln is a glorified Ford and Fords don't last very long as far as reliabaility goes! It seems me to me that some people are just beyond picky. I have a 2006 Lexus with 5k miles and if reported no problems or imperfections with the vehicle. My last vehcile was a 2004 Audi Allroad Quattro and ... Read More
Hello hpt. Lexus' lease program for the 2006 GX 470 is very attractive right now. If I was in the market for this truck I would definitely lease it. Having said this, the lease money factor that you were quoted is much higher than Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate factor for this model. If you were to lease a 2006 Lexus GX 470 through LFS right now for 48 months, ... Read More
I am interested in buying a 2007 Lexus GX. I was wondering if anyone has heard if there will be any major changes and if XM radio will be offered as a standard option? Has anyone who bought a 2006 put in XM? Has anyone who bought a 2006 used LexusLink and could tell me more information about how it works? Sincere thanks!

I am in the fortunate position of selecting a new SUV...coming out of a MB ML 350...considering the new 2006 ML 350, Lexus GX 470, and Acura MDX. If the prices are similar, what is the best SUV and why? Appreciate any input.
Greetings Alex. If you were to lease a loaded 2006 Lexus GX 470 (with the Navigation and entertainment systems) through Lexus Financial Services right now for 30 months with 12,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00120 and 61%, respectively. Internet quotes from other dealers which included the Rear Entertainment System were $48,995 (Keyes Lexus, Van Nuys, CA) to $49,096 (Lexus of Riverside,Riverside, CA). $48,500 seems to be an acceptable and reasonable counteroffer. Hi delax. The 2006 GX 470 is one of the few models that Lexus is providing lease support on this month. The .00190 lease money factor that you were quoted for this truck is right in line with Lexus Financial Services' buy rate money factor for it. This is as low as it gets for this truck, even for someone with a great credit score like yours. LFS' current 36 month, ... Read More

I'm in the same boat... this seems like a great time to get a good deal on a 2005, but then it starts off with a year of depreciation soon after you drive it home. Still I think 2005 is the way to go unless you are planning to lease, in which case you're probably better off with a 2006 since it will have a higher residual and your payments probably ... I am betting that the 2006 model wont have big big changes and that I should ... Read More
I had a phenomenal experience in the LX and recommend it highly. Lexus is not going to dicontinue it at all. They are going to make it larger and even more luxurious in 2006 or 2007. It is extremely well built and has top shelf reliability. I'm also not so sure the Range Rover has better heritage than the TLC as the latter is a legendary SUV. But the heritage would'nt ...
