Lemon Law worked out for me very well .. It is a long process but finally I was approved by Florida State to returned car to chrysler of course after many time spent at dealer, inspeccions, repairs, arbitration, hearing, final attempt to repair, court etc Chrysler just like to see if you give up and keep the vehicle as it is saying that this wind noise is normal for this type ... It is a rip off since they should now by now what is going on with the Sky Slider and they know how to fix it. It has been a problem since the beginning and I dont know why they continue making them. I bought a Liberty Limited on 2008 (first year of the Sky Slider feature). After 3 months, I went back to the dealership since it started doing that ... Read More
My 2010 Liberty also has noise issues. Had it at the dealership once so far and all they could come up with was cabin pressure was causing the noise. Let me know how your Lemon Law case goes..... Matt, MA
We have 2010 Jeep Liberty and have had it back twice for a noisy skyslider roof. The noise on the freeway is terrible and is very similar to yours on the sides. I will be going back to the dealer again and will continue to look at your postings.
My AC compressor was changed Aug 2010. Year later it does not cool as well as it did a year ago. It will cool done to 50 degrees if the Outside Temperature is 83 degrees. However it takes 30 minutes to get to that point to cool between 50 - 60 degrees dependent on the the outside temperature from 80 to 99 degrees. It supposed to cool down faster - when ... Read More
I have a 2009 Liberty with skyslider roof. I test drove a sport without one then they orderd one in. Excessive wind noise, gapping, and sounds like it's going to come apart at highway speeds on a rainy nday. I have had it into the dealership 9 times, and 25 days without my vehicle to dsrive. It started to come apart on me on the highwway a few weeks ago so ... Read More
Wow, just looking at all the same issues happening with the windows, how can there NOT be a recall? I had my window on my 2003 Jeep Liberty go down 4 inches back in June 2010 and I at first thought someone had tried to break into my car but then since nothing was missing, I figured it had just broken. I had no idea it would cost $460 to get ... Read More
We bought our Jeep Liberty on 8/15/2010... Within 6 weeks TWO of the window are broken (will not roll up or down)!... (so far)... ....They have lovely tape all over them at this point. We originally took to Myrtle Beach Chrysler Jeep (Bobby Gale). (At that point the window was stuck at about 40% down)... We left it there... The said it would be the $200.00 deductible under our warranty... They ... Read More

I have replaced my passenger rear window regulator and motor twice, and my drivers rear window regulator and motor once. I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade. The first time my rear passanger window would not roll up was in July 2008, it cost $325.00 to fix. June 2010 I had to replaced the motor and regulator for the driver rear window for $378.00. Yesterday my rear passenger window would not ... Read More
Everything I am hearing is leading to a recall, from online people been stating some dealers have already replaced their regulators even if not under warranty. In my case I have 2 already documented with Jeep replacement, and they did something another time right after fixing one that is not in the service system. Now I have another one failing, well actually failed 08/20/10 and I am being told by Jeep ... Read More
The FJ is not bad to maneuver at all...and the 2010 has both backup sensors and a backup camera. I used to drive an Avalanche and the FJ is a piece of cake in comparison.... Now, as to Liberty vs FJ, if you want a reliable vehicle, the Liberty would be totally off my list. I'd see if you can drive an FJ for awhile to see if you can handle ... Read More
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty 2x4 / 4 speed AT. I purchased this vehicle new in Q3 of 2003. The dealer recommended a trans service while in for the 30K service (early 2006). Upon p/u, I noticed a hard upshift between 1st & 2nd gear & also a very hard downshift from 4th to 3rd. I brought it back to the dealer & they re-flashed the trans. This fixed the ... Read More
I have a 2006 Liberty CRD that I purchased used in Jan. 2010 that has 45,000 miles on it. The automatic transmission does not engage immediately when I put it in gear. My auto mechanic said that there was a filter kit that was supposed to correct this problem so I had it installed. The problem has not gotten any better. Now it does not want to shift into the higher ... Read More
Hey jkelly555. Here you go. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 Jeep Liberty Limited 4WD with 10,000 miles per year are 3.54% and an ugly 40%, respectively. As you can see, GMAC publishes lease rates instead of money factors for Jeep vehicles. You can convert its published lease rates into approximate money factor equivalents by dividing them by 2400. So, a ... Read More
Hey Car_Man, I had similar question to previous post. I'd like to get the Chrysler Financial MF & RV for a 2010 Jeep Liberty 4x4, 36mo, 10K miles/yr. Thanks!
I'm looking for the MF & RV for a 2010 Jeep Liberty 4x2 Limited, 36mo lease, 10,000 mi/year. I'm looking to buy within the next few days so your timely reply is SO greatly appreciated! What would we do without you guys??
I read in a Sept. or Oct. article that actual fuel mpg was at best 21 or so on the GC. They have re tuned this V-6 several times and are not too pleased with the mpg or the power. The new and improved version coming out perhaps in Aug. has the urea cat. converter. Now that sounds fun to pay the dealer to put pee in the tank! Where did ... Read More
I tend to look on the positive side of things and with rare exceptions, things turn out that way. 1. Future parts: Manufacturers are required to stock replacement parts for I think 9 years after a model is discontinued. I owned a Merkur XR4ti (loved it) and had no trouble getting parts for it. I bought it new in 1986 and sold it in 1994. Rarely is it engine stuff that ... Read More
