in the hot weather there was probably humidity in the air from evaporation effect. in cooler weather there is hardly any humidity because the sun isn't evaporating water into the air. So your problem is your distributor. replace cap and rotor and check the shaft and cap base for cracks or signs of corrosion. if that is also bad replace the entire thing which cost about 90 bucks and about 40 ... My 1995 GMC Sonoma has brake light problem. Center high brake light comes on but neither taillight comes on. All signal and running lights work. Any help?
this is a follow up to my original question, that no one had any answer to. The problem was the wires going into the junction box just under the ignition switch.

I have 2, drop the pan and check for debris, or first if you have a gauge up to 300 psi check main pressure. I always do the pan drop first, that usually tells the story.
1995 Gmc Sonoma auto tranny, rebuilt and installed by shop, no problems for 12,000 miles, now it will only transmit power if the engine has just been started after sitting for a day, and then only for about 2 seconds-after this it will not shift into gear at all. Makes a noise for a few seconds when first starting engine. Engine warms up but tranny fluid stays cold. Transmission was bench ... Read More
I have a 1995 extended cab which I think has the same transmission. I can't repair the trashed transmission I have. I have not found another transmission yet. What other transmission could I adapt? Why is THIS 1995 so different.
As the previous owner of a rolling junkyard 1995 GMC Sonoma with the 2.2L motor and five speed transmission, my advice to you is to stay as far away as you possibly can from that S-10. Why may you ask? 1- even with the five speed transmission, my Sonoma was an absolute dog. Keeping up with traffic meant constantly mashing the gas pedal into the floormat, and I am quite sure ...
