Test Driver Ratings & Comments
Acceleration commentsNothing special here. Not enough to make traction an issue. Was able to achieve 80 percent battery power on all runs. No special technique involved; just mat the gas and go.
Braking commentsThe brakes jump in aggressively, yet the pedal is soft. As with many hybrids, the feel of this pedal takes time to get used to.
Handling commentsSkid pad: Feels remarkably light and responsive for a midsize hybrid sedan. Limits are low but the handling is very predictable. Slalom: Light steering effort still yields enough feel to guide Fusion with confidence during fast transitions. Again, low limits but good manners. Small, predictable yaw delay. A remarkably rewarding hybrid.
