    I wouldn't play with the S mode especially down shifting. Do you have a 2.0 or a 1.6? I have Ti, Ford made a mistake getting rid of then SEL Focus IMAO, Save your money up and trade or sell it before your tranny goes and keep all records. Puffin

    2012 Ford Focus Titanium, 33K mikes and the dealer is rebuilding the clutches after the transmission failed to shift.. The system said the transmission needed service immediately... This is 4 days after the last transmission reprogramming. Can't wait to see what happens next.

    Only if you can be certain that the Fusion does NOT have the same type transmission as the Focus does. I'm not positive, but I believe the Fusion has a more traditional automatic. Check with a Ford service department, to be sure. Do NOT rely on what the salesperson tells you.

    I'm having the same problem as johnnyb15. I had the updates done before Christmas and now it's doing the same thing again - slipping into neutral it how it feels - back and forth. Can't get any speed out of it. Left it back at the dealership and told them not to call me until it's fixed once and for all.

    I Have taken it to different dealers they tell me nothing is wrong, so how do you get them to fix something they say has No problems, of course they arent driving it when it almost stalls out or loses power etc.

    Simply WOW ... the best I did on an 2012 SE with A/T and 201A package (sedan) was 3,580 off MSRP .. that was rebates and discounts .. new car BTW - sign up on the FORD website a good 6 weeks before you want to buy and they send out a 500 to 750 off coupon as well ... mine came two weeks after I bought ...     Easy - take it to the dealer. Sounds like the computer is not telling the 1-3-5 clutch to engage properly. Only the dealer can address that. There may be updated software applicable to your car that will improve the DCT performance.

    I feel your pain. In the UK the ford dealer did not even know what parts to order so I called back to the states and ordered all six of the solenoids. I will know if the $800 is work it in a few weeks when I get time to change them.

    The 6 speed dual clutch transmission is really a manual transmission that's automatically controlled. The only difference that you might notice is that it does not have a torque converter!     MFT is still on target for 1st Quarter - not sure where you got the 2nd or 3rd quarter estimate from. Ford won't allow fleet sales to affect resale value. That only happens with fleet dumping to rental companies and that's not happening. Focus sales for January were the best since 2003 and up significantly from 2011.

    I'm 6' 5" 240 lbs and I fit just fine in my SE hatchback 5MT. I do not have a moonroof/sunroof and have about 1.5" headroom with the driver's seat relatively upright and pumped up just a bit off the bottom.

    6'2"/225lb...and the car fits me fine. In fact it IS rather like sitting in a jet's cockpit once you get the seat and telescoped wheel adjusted right. We bought the "sport pkg" and like the look and feel. Sync's pretty cool too.
